Studio @ BWV or OKW for Easter?

What are my chances of getting a studio at BWV (standard view) or OKW for April 18 (Fri) through April 21 (Mon), 2002? My husband and I were thinking of making this change, but of course we will not know until Monday whether or not this is an impossible request. Instead of trying to decide whether or not we should make the change, I thought I would request some feedback as to whether we should even give it another thought since it is Easter weekend.

Well, since April 18, 2002 has passed, I guess chances are slim?

I assume you mean April 18 - 21, 2003?

I booked spring break in January once. Nothing was available anywhere (I wanted a studio), this was back when it was just OKW and BW at WDW. I got on the wait list at both resort, I ended up getting 2 nights at OKW and then 3 nights at BW, but could not get the one night in between those nights. So, I had to book Coronado Springs for one night, but I still loved it, even though we had to resort hop.

Since it's just November, your changes and options are bigger than mine were.

I would suggest getting a reservation at All Star and then get on the wait list. Once you get nights at a DVC resort, then cancel your nights at the All Star.

Sorry!! I did mean 2003. We have reservations at POR. We originally made the reservations at POR, because we did not want to borrow points to have to stay on the weekend, but now we are thinking of borrowing points. (We used most of our points for Vero Beach, which we are going to after WDW). I made the assumption that it would be premier season in 2004 during our school break, therefore I would need all of my points. However, I just realized that our school vacation week will be in Magic season for 2004, because our school vacation is around Patriots Day and not Easter!

When I called yesterday, there are still studios available at OKW, but not at any other resorts.

I would guess that your best bet would be to book OKW and place yourself on a waiting list for a standard at BWV. I've generally found that the standard studio units at BWV are often gone by even the 10 month window............but cancellations DO happen. Good Luck.........

You have given us a glimmer of hope! It appears that OKW is a good possibility. Although my children prefer BWV, I can't see them saying no to OKW.

Definitely book OKW and get on a waiting list for BWV, you never know you could get the nights or part of the nights and enjoy both resorts!
