Specifically what does “near hospitality house” really get you? Do you gain anything regarding the bus route? Do you have to go through the resort coming and going?

I will be booking soon for me and a friend, and so far that designation is available.

Thank you.
Bobbi:)

I believe this is the last pick up on the bus route and it gets very crowded there. I have been on the bus several times where it didn't even stop at HH because we had no room.

Close to Olivia's, the main pool, general store, ferry to Disney Springs, community hall and I believe all of the front buildings near HH have elevators.

Bldg's 11-14 are across from the main bldg... So very close to activities and stuff. and HH bus stop.
Bldg's 23-26 are just across the bridge on Peninsular RD... still a short walk to the main bldg. but close to that bus stop.

All busses coming into the property (except for the Disney Springs bus) will stop @ the Peninsular Rd. 1st, South Pt. 2nd, Turtle Pond 3rd, Millers Road 4th and HH last...
The DS bus comes into the resort as *Internal Bus, & immediately goes to HH....I can't remember if it changes a lil bit with the order, but it will definitely end back at the HH before departing to DS.

FWIW, we were bldg #31 (NoN HH) & I walked it in about 6 or 7 mins to the main bldg...Not bad at all. BTW, The boat ride to DS is very tranquil...

Also there is a boat to DS from the HH area. It's a really nice relaxing ride, just know if the weather is bad, the boat will not run.

No...NONE of the Near HH category buildings have elevators. The 3 buildings with elevators are 62, 63 and 64, they are not actually part of the Near HH category, but are occasionally used for overflow bookings. They are often used for those people with mobility issues, but who may not need a fully HA modified unit.

CORRECT!!

If we book within our 11 month window, we book HH. We like to be near the ferry, Goods to Go, Olivias, etc. We can always catch a bus at the Peninsula stop (a short walk).

Oh, another thought for you. There are a limited number of studios in OKW that do not have a window in the front part of the room. We had one once in building 14, I think--many years ago. I really HATED it...so very dark and actually kind of creepy feeling. I know there was some debate here on what buildings actually have those studios but maybe an expert can weigh in. I am pretty sure it is due to the U-shape of the building. Anyways, you will want to avoid those! ;)

We did too, building 35. It's type D on Doc's Configuration Summary.

I've had those windowless studios from time to time. While it seemed a little off, it really didn't bother us. I seem to remember them have a painting there, so you didn't miss the window quite as much...but that have changed with the refurbishment.

Besides 14 and 35, add 18 and 38 to those U shaped buildings with the studios in the corner and not at the end. We've been in one in 18 and in 35. Not a fan. And both times we wound up on the third floor.

Now I think about it, that was the time we had 4 women in a studio. It actually worked out better because there was a mirror where the window usually is. I did my hair there.

I am going to request a ground floor unit with my HH studio in June that I have booked. If I hadn't had owned at OKW, I wouldn't have gotten my dates I got in a HH studio. I am going to request a ground floor unit, but knowing it is just a hopeful request. If by chance we get a third floor unit, and that is all that is available near the HH, I will ask if we could be moved out to the general area in a ground floor unit.
