Studio at BWV or BCV?

I've done my research and I just can't decide so any feedback on either of these resorts would be helpful. It will just be me and DH on this trip as the kiddos are staying with grandma. I would love to hear what you liked and didn't like about these resorts (SAB doesn't really factor into the decision for us). TIA! :goodvibes

We have stayed at both and really enjoyed both resorts. If SAB is not a factor, I would probably choose BW bc the vibe is a little more adult and it is closer to the Boardwalk restaurants and such. However, if you like counter service, the Boardwalk doesn't really have a good CS place, while BC at least has the marketplace. We don't do a lot of CS so it's not a big deal for us. Honestly, they are my 2 fave resorts and I don't think you can go wrong with either one!

I personally think the Boardwalk has a much better theme and atmosphere.

Besides that when going to Epcot it's a 5 minute walk and if you take the Boat Epcot next stop once it leaves the Boardwalk. Plus when leaving Epcot you can either walk or take the Boat back to the Boardwalk since they are the 1st stop when it goes in the reverese order.

Finally the Boardwalk is the closest resort to Hollywood Studios and in my experience when using the walkway over there it takes me about 10 - 15 minutes and there is a short cut you can take going past the Luna Park pool.

I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. Hubby and I were thinking how great it would be to stay at Beach Club without the kids some time in the future so colour me envious!

We strolled around both resorts with our kiddoes and they are similar and have lots of appeal. Because the resorts are so close together, the distance to Epcot, Hollywood Studios is very similar. I liked that Epcot was literally steps from Beach Club because we were there every day but the walk from BW is not much longer. I think *maybe* the view from BWV might be a little better than BCV which might be an issue for some.

Good luck with your decision!

We've stayed at both, and both are great.

I'd choose BW. Without kiddies, you don't need the counter service 2 minutes away, and the BW has so much more for adults. We also love to sneak over to the Swan and go to Kimono's (super quick walk from BW) since it is open late and just so good!

If you aren't into SAB, the BWV pool is great, and really relaxing. DH and I love the BW.

I have stayed at both, and both are great.

First, I would ask if you plan to spend more time in Epcot or spend your time evenly between the parks. If you plan to spend more time in Epcot, BCV is a shorter walk (not by a lot though) so it might be more convenient. Also, if you are driving, the parking is closer at BCV than at BWV. BWV is the only resort where I always get luggage assistance because of the location of the parking lot.

As far as the rooms themselves, they are virtually the same in size, layout, and decorated in pastel colors. There is a coffee table at BCV in the studios that BWV does not have, if that makes a difference to you.

The views at BWV are nicer, in my opinion, because most of the cash reservation rooms overlook either the quiet pool or the feature pool, with the waterway to the Studios and S/D in the background. There really aren't any great views at BCV. I've overlooked the quiet pool, the road, and the woods.

I have had two vacations at BCV this year and two at BWV, so you can see that I like them pretty much evenly. I don't think you can really make a bad decision between them.

I've stayed in studios and both and found a few pros and cons (and just plain differences). The views, at least the Boardwalk views at BWV, are incredible. The views at the BCV are nothing, especially by comparison (although I like the peaceful woods views there). BWV studios don't have coffee tables, which can either be a pro or con, mostly depending on whether or not you use the pull-out. If you use the pull out, you don't have to find room for the coffee table. But if you don't, it seems wierd not to have the coffee table there, for your coffee or to put your feet up. If you're a light sleeper in a lock-off studio, BWV has the connecting door right across from the bed-BCV has it up by the main door, meaning more noise in a BWV. You can put a towel to block the noise, and that helps-somewhat. If I remember, BCV has those cute little shelf things on the wall as you enter the studio, where you can put your rom key-BWV doesn't. But the big thing for DH about BCV is that you can get to his beloved Beaches and Cream without getting wet, even if it's raining!
