studio 6 kissimmee -great rates

I came across this motel last year after my gas tank got punctured leaving sea world. So we had to rent a car and wait for repairs. We usually stay in the dtd area or palm parkway.
They have great rates the rooms have a small kitchen, full fridge, stove top, microwave, dishes. This is a extended stay motel. It is older but we thought it was really clean. There were a few down sides thin walls, they do accept pets. So there was some noise. The other thing we didn't care for was the full sizes beds in a double room, prefer queens. They only have housekeeping once a week but you can go to the front office to get clean towels , sheets, etc if returning the dirty ones. I did also get trash bags from the maids when they come through. I think they come in each day to pick up trash but we prefer no one in our room so just sit it outside.The rates run $32-$35 a night for a 7 day stay. We usually stay at the extended stay deluxe on palm parkway but since we are so late getting this booked we couldn't get in. This motel is located behind the motel 6 and mcdonalds and sits back off from 192. Great place for a family on a budget trip who need to use kitchen facilities. Don't expect no frills just a nice clean room with a pool. We also noticed all the staff were very friendly.

If it's clean and it has a small kitchen that's good but I wouldn't stay anywhere on 192 east of 535,the neighborhood just goes downhill as you get east of 535.Also at the rate of $35 while good,depending on the time of year if you look good enough you can find very good hotels in better areas for that price many of them suites,I've even gotten hotels considered 5 star hotels for $43 like the Rosen Shingle creek.

Where do you get good rates on high star hotels over christmas

I didn't get those rates like the Rosen hotels at $45 over Christmas but on Hotwire I've gotten other hotels like the Hyatt Place by Universal or the Comfort Suites on Turkey Lake rd for $45 -$50 and on non busy time from $27-$35.

Where are some of the "safe" areas in Kissimmee?

Most of the hotels in Kissimmee are located on 192,when Disney first opened in the 70's and 80's this is where just about everyone stayed since Disney only had a couple of hotels.As Disney built hotels and other areas with hotels showed up, 192 especially as you go east away from Disney has gradually deteriorated.There are still some good hotels on 192 such as the Comfort Suites Maingate east which is close to Old Town and Celebration and I wouldn't hesitate to book a room there as it's a really good hotel however I rarely stay in this general area as I opt for International Drive which is closer to Sea World and Universal or the Lake Buena Vista area which is generally the area outside Downtown Disney on 535 around I-4,Palm Parkway is also in this general area and has a few good places.If booking a room on 192 stay west of 535 towards World Dr. which is the entrance to Disney on 192.The area west of World dr. is not as bad as east of 535 but I feel many of the hotels are getting older.East of 535 you'll only find old bug filled motels,closed down restaurants and shady characters.
