We cant wait to go to WDW so we've been watching disney movies. So was wondering if you guys would give some suggestions. We've seen the usual like , Alladin, Lion King (all), Treasure Planet (great by the way) all princess movies, all pixar, hercules, and i think thats all . So was hoping for more suggestions. Please.:flower3:

Mary Poppins gets my vote!!

We've even gotten her autograph at WDW.

How about some of the "Sing A Long" videos...they're basically 1/2 hour long commercials for WDW anyway :rotfl2:
We like Its a Small World of Fun (taped in 1980's Disneyland, but still good)
There's also one that my son calls Mickey's Campout - I don't know the real name, but it was taped at FT Wilderness. The Animal Kingdom one is pretty good too.
Or if all else fails, pop in the Vacation Planning DVD

If you get the Travel Channel, check out the specials they have on all the parks. Modern Marvels has a two hour special, also. These shows help my DGD decide what she'll do on our next trip.

Here's some cartoons my kids have always liked that you didn't mention:

Alice in Wonderland
Bambi
Dumbo
Mary Poppins (always used to DH's favorite)
Aristocats
Oliver & Company
Rescuers Down Under (DD3 has been seeing it on Toon Disney)
A Goofy Movie
Lilo & Stitch
The Wild
Emperor's New Groove (show's cute too)

There's also supposed to be a new Toy Story coming out, should be a great show.

How about some of the old Mickey/Minnie shows. You can get them on DVD. I love the one called "Mickey's trailer" Lots of kids today don't really remember the traditional Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy (except in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and the old movies are fun.

I'll second that vote...my kids LOVE them! You didn't mention your children's ages, but these videos/dvds also help familiarize the little ones with the size of the characters they'll see walking around the park so they don't panic
when they see one up close. Also, I'm not that familiar with the movie, but CARS seems to be really popular with big kids and little kids and it seems like there is a lot of Lightning McQueen and the gang (from the movie) at DHS/MGM.

trying to think of ones that wern't mentioned yet.......

Peter Pan
Chicken Little
Tarzan
Pinocchio
Country Bears
101 Dalmations
Winnie the Pooh movies

We watch all the old Mickey movies, Chip n Dale we also have saved on our Tivo Mickey's Magical Christmas My sweet kid won't let us take off. I am sure it will still be there for next Christmas. haha

You can also go check out books and movies that are Disney themed from your library. We love doing this.

My children's favorites are the Disney cartoon classics~ Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. Stores like Walmart and Target have been selling different volumes featuring the different characters, and they are really cute. There are a bunch of them, and I think they sell for about $10.00 each.

Some of the titles are:

Funny Factory with Mickey
Funny Factory with Donald
Starring Chip N Dale
Starring Goofy
Extreme Adventure Fun
Best Pals Donald and Daisy
Best Pals Mickey and Minnie

and many, many more.....

Anytime we have a road trip, my children always select these movies to watch. They are great!

Have lots of fun!

Mary Poppins gets my vote!!

If you do the 1900 Park Faire Breakfast she's there, along with Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh Bear, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. It's my favorite breakfast and I think the Grand Floridian is so pretty.

But back to topic:
I can't add to the movies. We have so many and my mind goes blank. But my 2 yo DD LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Little Einsteins are on right after that (you can get their sigs at the back of MGM)

My kids (11 and 9) love all of the old Disney live action movies. Things like The Parent Trap (they like hte origianl better than the remake), Swiss Family Robinson (then the Treehosue makes sense!), origianl Herbie movies, etc.
As far as animation goes, I did not see anyone mention Atlantis (highly underwatched--along with Treasure Planet in our opinion).

I haven't seen it added to the list, or even if it's still available, but what about Fantasia, and/or the more recent Fantasia 2000? I know at one point, Best Buy had a 2 pack with both films. I think these are overlooked films, but they combine wonderful music with animation and great storytelling.
