Stuck in Mousecellaneous

Of the DVC boards I am on Mousellaneous the most - then I check the other 2 DVC boards. I spend as much or more time tho on the Cruise board & Cruise meets board. When I have a trip to the World coming up I spend more time on the Theme Parks & Strategies, Restaurant & Transportation boards. It is rare that I venture anywhere else but sometimes I hit the Budget board.

I always start with the DVC related boards then gravitate to the Budget Board - great board with current codes for shopping/airlines, any number of things posted as soon as they happen. Also enjoy the Restaurant Board and will occasionally visit the Disney Tips board.

Pretty much me also; I'm still traumatized from the Board-who-shall-not-be-named that is thankfully gone (Debate). I could not stop reading it; I had a horrified fascination!

Mousecellaneous is the first place I go, the community board can be fun but also can be an exhibit of "the dark side" of dis posters. Even the most uncontroversial topic can bring out the claws - it's like some people just sit at home waiting to pounce on something, anything! If you are into a certain TV show then you might find a fun thread on there to discuss it (I am a huge Lost fanatic, so that is mostly all I look at on the community board!).
Otherwise, WISH (I am training for a triathlon), families, theme parks, and dining. Used to be hooked on the Trip Reports, but those really take up way too much time, and I would get frustrated about some TR's that had a looooong time between updates. You just give up after awhile!

The DVC boards are my favorite. I will look at the community boards, theme parks and attractions, and restaurants probably the most after that. I used to spend a lot more time on the others but find that DVC boards are where I'm most comfortable now as well.

The DVC boards are the only boards I regularly visit. Not so much the rent & trade board.

I do spend a great majority of my time on the DVC boards. However, I do fairly frequently pop over to the Budget board and spend some time there as well. I used to do more reading on the Theme Parks or the Restaurant boards but that was in the earlier phases when we still had a lot more to learn and a lot less experience than we do now. These days I'm pretty much straight DVC most of the time.

Since reading this thread I decided to check out some of the others besides DVC. I usually only look here and maybe the resorts or Theme Park boards. I found a May DIS meet on the Adults/Solos board but I don't recognize many of the names. I guess I'm just used to seeing the folks here on DVC.

I spend most of my time on the Mousecellaneous, Planning, and Operations boards, with an occasional glance toward the Availability board. I've recently branched out to the forum on dvcnews.com because there are a number of interesting Disney related news article that appear on that site. And I also spend a lot of time on the OCC website. To paraphrase the Luggage Salesman from the movie "Joe Versus the Volcano", **Disney** is the central preoccupation of my life.

Mousecellaneous is always my first stop. However because of our upcoming member cruise I have been spending the majority of my time on our cruise meet thread. I have also recently vertured to the main DCL thread to get some cruising info since theis is our first cruise ever!!!

Most of our time is spent on Mousecellanous but nearly all is on the DVC Board:

Mousecellanous - 90%
Planning - 7%
Operations - 2%

Theme Parks, Restaurants and Resort Board all add up to 1%.

Me too. I can't look at any others until I've checked out anything interesting here. I'm also on the WISH/events board since I'm training for my first triathlon and will be doing the Princess half in Feb. I get bored easily on the other boards. I'm a DVC gal.

I'm usually spending all my time catching up on my subscribed threads and don't have lots of time to poke around!

This is the first place that I come when I am poking, then Planning. I try to stop by often, especially because I want to sub into DVCMike's TRs early so as not to have to catch up! Next I move on to Disneyland Trip Reports and Disneyland. I live very close so I like to keep up there a lot. If I still have time on my hands I'll pop by the G&L forum, but a lot of them seem like they don't get out of there much (if at all!) and are almost always off topic!

Sometimes I check the Community Board, and occasionally I'll play a game or two if I'm not already subscribed. Lastly (and this is where I get in the most trouble) is I'll check out the Dining Reviews. If the writer is clever and has some good pictures, I'm in BIG trouble because I love to see what all the various restaurants have to offer! Even though I've been to a lot, there's still a lot more that I want to try!

The only time I usually read PTRs or TRs is if I "know" the person from another thread and I subscribe just to keep up with them.

Misc boards first, then other dvc boards, then Rumors and Transportation boards for me

I almost always start with Transportation. You just never know when a good car rental rate will pop up or a great airfare. Those you've got to jump on immediately so I start there.

Then, I check the DVC boards--planning & mousecellaneous. Occasionally, I'll venture to operations. Once in a blue moon, I'll check the rent/trade just for fun.

I regularly visit Theme Park Strategies, Restaurants, Resorts (Codes & Discounts), Rumors and occasionally I'll venture over to the Budget board. The discussion over there gets a little too judgemental and snippy for me a lot of times. I also like the Dis for Families board too and visit there every once in a while.

I'm usually here as well, along with the DCL thread - since we have a cruise fascination these days. I have been on the (gasp - forgive me) the Universal boards doing a little research since DD wants to visit the WWoHP. Sometimes I pop into the Dining thread, or the Resort thread.

I am stuck in Mousecellaneous and can't seem to generate interest in other forums. What other forums are suggested and why? Why do you like certain forums and what other ares of DIS are good.

This post got me thinking, so I went out to some of the other threads that I don't usually go to.

Maybe it was just my bad luck, but some of the threads - HOLY COW!!! I think I barely made it back alive This is definitely a kinder and gentler thread!!
