So...you know what they say about the best laid plans....

I had carefully planned a five day trip to atlanta, hitting all the major tourist spots: CNN, fernbank, world of coke, aquarium, MLK, medieval times, zoo atlanta. Now, because of the snowstorm hitting the northeast, our flight was cancelled and we moved our departure to Friday night. We have two days with no plans! Help! Any suggestions on what we can do to keep us busy? Kiddos from 6 to 12 in the mix....thanks for any help!

Legoland, Botanical Gardens, Shopping at Phipps or Lenox (even Discover Mills or Mall of Georgia)...

If you have girls, there's the American Girl store & bistro.

There is an American girl store there, Olympic park, the varsity is a fun stop. (Worlds largest drive in I believe. CNN gives tours. Also google if there are any festivals or craft fairs going on.

American Girl Store, Lenox Mall, Stone Mountain (although today is pretty cold for that), Babyland General, Children's Museum of Atl, Legoland, Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Stone Mountain (you can easily spend an entire day there) and be sure to stop by the Varsity by GA Tech for the best chili dogs in the world!

What's there to do in Chattanooga? Thanks!

They have their own aquarium, which is awesome. Ruby Falls/lookout mountain, Imax theater, children's discovery museum, coolidge park has a nice carousel, and the bluff art district has lots of outdoor art along the river.

Helen GA is a nice walking area in the mountains...outlets in Dawsonville...Stone Mountain is fun too.
