Stuck at OKW

We are currently in Disney World and have experienced a problem. Our flight was canceled due to the weather, and we tried to stay at Old Key West for an extra ** days. We are** points short of the necessary amount, and were told that we could buy the points from Disney to make up the difference.
My question is: what do they charge for the points, and could we possibly have someone else transfer these points to our account instead or could this person book a room and have us use it?
Has anyone else encountered these problems?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. The Hesters

The points are $15 each - so it is only $*. I am guessing that it is probably easier to just buy them than to try and work out a transsfer for ** points.

I agree. The savings would only be around $** - doesn't seem worth the hassle.

Enjoy your extra days though. We're about to get pummelled (sp?) with snow in Chicago - I'd much rather be stuck at WDW!

We got stuck by a snowstorm a couple of years ago. Thankfully, I had the points to extend at BWV. Our flight was listed on schedule that day, so we took ME to MCO, saw it was still on schedule on the big board and went to the gate to find it cancelled!

We arranged a new flight (which we then pushed back another day to get a dirst flight - didn't want to chance getting stuck in St. Louis, so chose instead to be stuck in WDW!)

ME took us back to BWV to check in. We went back to the parks and I remarked to the family, "We don't WANT to be in WDW right now, we HAVE to be."

That was a nice problem.

The pummelling has started south of Chicago, school is cancelled today and tomorrow, I am stuck at home. I could've took the kids to grandma for the next couple of days but what to do with the dog? Work said stay home. I'd love to be stuck in OKW.

We just got back late Sunday, and my university is closed today and probably will be tomorrow as well. I wish we could have been stranded -- but I have absolutely no points left for that

We were at OKW for a week in Dec. and a week in Jan. I wish we could go to OKW for a week in Feb. and a week in March while the snow is still here. Well I'll just have to wait for our trip in May for the Epcot flower show.
