We had loads of snow overnight, and whilst it looks lovely outside its meant that im stuck at home with nothing but housework
There isnt actually a road on my street, its just a footpath which is covered really thickly with snow which has made it difficult to walk through - i've seen several people falling over. Plus when i actually get to my car its on a hill which hasnt been gritted (small road so it never is) which is really slippy. DH fell over several times trying to get to the car and going to work.
I decided it wasnt worth the risk of me falling as im now 20 weeks pregnant so phoned work to say i wont be in. They were pretty quick to tell me i wouldnt be paid if i "didnt make the effort" to come to work.
Oh well better to not take the risk i guess.
