We arrive March 30 and are staying at OKW. We are not going to a park that day, but will hang around the resort in the afternoon and then go to DTD for some shopping. We will have the regular dining plan and I can't for the life of me figure out what to do for dinner. I was hoping to avoid too much extra travel, but am open to ideas.

Should we go to Olivia's for an early dinner and then DTD?

Should we eat at Cap 'N' Jacks or Planet Hollywood?

Other ideas? :confused3

if you just use a counter service for dinner that night, you'll be able to do a 2 credit table service another night...and there's a couple of good choices for counter service in DTD, so you wouldn't have to do any extra traveling...

We really like Earl of Sandwich (the original sandwich is scrumptious)

A lot of people really like Wolfgang Puck's counter service, too.

I'm with catne on this. I'd save the TS credit and use it at a signature restaurant later and pay OOP at Earl of Sandwich.

Do you have a preference for TS or CS?

For CS, the WGP on the West Side has some great meals and a very good value too. The nice thing about CS is you are not tied to an ADR and can eat when it is convenient

Yeah, I was thinking of going to Earl and using it later in the week for Narcoossee's. The problem is that the two friends of mine who are going with me are looking for a nice dinner that night preferably with a cocktail. Curse Disney for closing PI! I could've swung CS and PI easily.

When we stayed at the OKW last March (30th too!) we tried to get into Olivias for dinner but they were booked solid every night so I guess the food was very good! Make sure you go to breakfast there as it was just amazing!

If it were me I would eat at DTD but I never do the dining plan so I do not know who is on it or not. My choice would be Fultons!

We're going to try that new T-Rex restaurant on our check-in day next month & just pay OOP.

If your friends want a cocktail and a nicer restaurant on DTD night, I'd go to Wolfgang Pucks - the TS one. We ate there on last trip and it was nice -- cocktails, interesting, fairly upscale menu choices and good food. That's what I'd do! ;) Check out the menu!

Definately not Planet Hollywood. It's like eating at Friendlys-with booze......
I second the motion for wolfgang puck. We ate their last year and really enjoyed it. I have also heard a ton of good things about Raglan Road. Of course you could always do a CS place and get a margarita from the stand and walk around with it. :cool1:

We just ate at Olivia's on Xmas Eve and it was delicious. If you like seafood I think you will enjoy this. It's also nice to be able to just roll to your room after eating there. The ferry to DTD is right by the restaurant as well, so if you wanted to go downtown from here it's be easy
