Strollers?

Since search isn't working, I'll apologize in advance if I'm asking a question that's already been answered.

We're headed out on 4/5 and debating whether or not to bring our strollers to FLA. Although both our kids are walkers, the 15-month old is very active and we thought having a lightweight umbrella stroller might be a good way to keep him reined in. So, my questions:

1. Are strollers a good idea? I mean, are there too many stairs, uneven surfaces, carpet, etc. that they wouldn't be practical? (I know the ship has elevators) If they're more trouble than anything else, we'll deal with chasing him, I guess.

2. Are there strollers available on the ship, or is it best to drag our own along from home?

Thanks a bunch!

Our son is 2 yrs old and we find the stroller is a good thing to have.

There are no strollers on the boat, so if your going into any of the Ports, you will want one. Carrying can become back-breaking after a while. Also in the stroller was when my little one, catched some sleep.

At Castaway Cay no need to take a stroller, they have strollers available for you to use. (first come, first serve) That way you don't get the Sand in your stroller.

We really did not use ours around the ship. He walked fine with us. But he is not the type to RUN! We folded the stroller up and kept it in the bottom of the closent.

Hope this helps with your decision.

2 things:

1. I recommend an umbrella stroller because it is light weight, easy to drive and folds compact while in cabin.

2. I think I read a thread a week or so ago that said you can use a Graco stroller on board for free and just have to put down a deposit. I think it was $100 and fully refundable first come first serve basis. I saw the strollers on board and they were nice like a Graco light rider stroller.

I still prefer the umbrella stroller because is was easiest and smallest. I consider a stroller essential for getting around the ship and for the ports of call.
