Do they make you carry them on or is there a storage area? What about bigger strollers?

That's going to be a little tought since I have a graco quattro one, I wish the strollers were reasonably priced at the parks.

yep fold it and carry it- usually DH ends up standing with it towards the 2nd set of doors

And please have ALL your stuff out including kids and folded BEFORE the bus pulls up to load. I hate when they don't do this and then stand right in the way and take forever!

I had a jogging stroller and the buses were so inconvenient I found. WE would never go again with a big stroller unless we had a rental car. This year, we are brining a Maclaren umbrella stroller. Is there an umbrella stroller you can bring? Purchasing one of those would still be cheaper than renting one.

The Disney strollers are crazy expensive for what you get - hard plastic and minimal shade. If you're consdering renting instead of bringing your own, Orlando Stroller Rentals offers the Baby Jogger City Mini strollers for a very reasonable price - the single is around $70 for the entire week and a double is around $85. They drop off at the hotel on your first day and you leave the stroller with bell services when you leave to head home.

Owner's Locker has also started offering strollers as part of their line-up - the same ones as Orlando Stroller Rentals.

The nice thing about the BJ City Minis is they're lightweight but very plush/comfy for the kids and easy peasy to fold up and bring on the bus.

My problem is my son is 3.5 years old and 43 lbs so the only stroller that I could buy would be Maclaren Volo for $110 which I really don't want to dish out money for. I just checked th orlando stroller site and they are sold for the week I need!!!

My kids are 9, 6 and 4. And I am looking forward to this years vaca without having to drag the stroller on all the buses. What a pain.

We've been both times our older kids were 4 and only used the stroller for the baby, yippie no stroller this time.

If worse comes to worse and we need it in the park, I'll rent and then leave it there.

My daughter bought a Combi Flare stroller for her 3-1/2 year old. I think the weight limit is 55 pounds. It folds up nicely and has a carry strap. Stroller weighs 13 lbs. She paid $74 at Amazon with free shipping. They will be having another baby so now she has a new stroller for the next child.

You can check ebay too. I got my Volo on Ebay for $54 and that included shipping. It had a little tiny stain on the side of the seat that you needed a magnifying glass for. It was actually new in the box and shipped from the manufacturer. I don't know if they have any left but you may want to give it a try. There is another thread somewhere on this board about them if you do a search. Good luck! Also, the $110 full price is still just a bit more than renting and you have it to keep. I have also heard of Marshalls and TJMaxx carrying them.

On the newer busses, the ones that are the low floor, there is a place above the front wheel wellls, that you can occasionaly lay something in, if it has the guard rails around it.I dont remember off hand the bus numbers off hand, but I do remember seeing them there. The other busses there is no place to store them.

Nope, they don't allow anything on top of this. I've heard bus drivers ask guests to remove items from on top of this area.

Be careful on the BJ City Mini. They had a recall because of fall hazard.

maybe check a consignment store - Once Upon a Child or something like that?- I got a great one for$10 at a sale the reclines, has a basket and canopy- no big stroller for us anymore either.

I'm sure the Owner's Locker folks have them in stock as it's a brand new offering and not many folks know about them yet. They're a reputable company and have been dropping off purple Owner's Lockers to the Disney area resorts for years (we love our purple box! :goodvibes ) so adding strollers to the line-up seems like a good fit. It can't hurt to give them a call - it's cheaper than buying a Volo and your son will easily fit in the stroller.

Whatever you decide, keep in mind that you're only getting on and off the buses a few times and having your little one be comfortable for many hours every day is worth the minor inconvenience of hefting the stroller on the bus. :goodvibes

I just went out this afternoon to check out a couple at the stores and also looked in 2nd hand kids stores and not much luck, I also looked on ebay but they are all brand new, I was hoping for a discounted one, I will keep trying.

We bought a Mac volo when when we took DS who was 19 months at the time. It was so easy to fold up and take on the bus. We have been debating if we need 2 strollers this time (DS is 4 and DD will be 21 months). So today I bought an umbrella stroller for $7 at a huge consignment sale. They had quite a few strollers priced cheap and in decent condition. Also check Craigslist and local garage sales.
