I just booked our airfare for our upcoming trip. We are arriving in Orlando at 8:35 and when we check in we know our room won't be ready yet so I was wondering will Southwest let us bring two Maclaren (trimuph and volo) strollers as carry on so we can make the most of the parks when we arrive?

Yes, they will let you "gate-check" them. This means you stroll them up to the door of the airplane, they put it underneath until you get to your destinations & when you get off the plane they will be waiting right outside the plane door. We have done this with Southwest & it was very convenient.

I talked to JetBlue today and they said the same thing. You can either check it as luggage or gate check it, so that you have it through the airport. The person I talked to recommended the gate check from experience and he said it didn't matter the size of the stroller.

Totally gate check it, it makes it much easier to travel through the aiport also. Just remember to fold the stroller up for the airline crew, it has to be folded so if you don't fold it for them, they will even if they don't know how and it could get damaged.

It's a huge help being able to gate check a stroller. We'd be chasing our 2 yr old all over the place if we couldnt keep our stroller with us plus it helps being able to put a couple of items like my purse and a backpack under the stroller.

We have had great experience using gate check for the stroller. Simply tell the agent at the gate and they will give you a gate check tag. Roll the stroller to the door of the aircraft. Fold it and take off any extras, cup holders, etc.

I used a bungee to make sure it didn't open by mistake. Remember that the luggage handlers will not know how to fold the stroller and if it opens accidentally it could get damamged. That said, if you take everything extra off and fold it properly you shouldn't have any problems.

When you arrive at the destination the stroller will be waiting on the ramp when you exit.
