hi. i was just looking for anyone who has flown with NWA and brought a stroller. their website says you can carry it on, but i dont want to count on it and then find i have to check it at the last minute. has anyone carried their stroller on with them? were there any problems? thanks!

I've never heard of actually carrying it on, but I haven't flown NWA with my kids. They may be referring to a gate check, in which you have your stroller until you get right to the plane. It goes to cargo and then is waiting right at the door of the plane when you land.

the website says each passenger may have one carry on under a certain size, and may also bring with them a purse, laptop, umbrella or other "special" items. under special items, a stroller is listed. does that make sense/sound familiar? i was wondering too if it was a gate check or not... thanks for the help! :flower:

but you'll have to gate check it. Once you get in the plane you won't need it besides it's always close quarters anyway. When you leave the plane, your stroller will be there waiting for you. It's easy and painless.

The benefit of the gate check is that you can use it right up to when you need to board the plane. It was a lifesaver with our 18 month old last time we flew NWA.

Have fun and have a great disney week! :earsboy:

Last year we took a unbrella stroller. They took the stroller as we got on the plane and had it ready for us when we got off. We flew Continental.

This year Im taking a full size stroller. Its a cosco medium size stroller. I wonder if they will do the same thing? Ill have to measure it and see if it is within the requirments. Does anyone know how this works?

TIA

we've flown many times with NWA.. never a problem.. just tell the person at the gate you want to gate check the stroller.. and you have to put a tag on it.. leave it right outside the plane before you get on.. and when you arrive it will be right outside the plane.. even if you have connecting flights, you still get it right outside the plane at each stop..

Yes you can gate check it. I've gate checked big double strollers. :D
