Strollers on Monorail?

My husband and I will be going to DL with our twins who will be 10 months old at the time of the trip. We are staying at DLH and plan to take the monorail to the park. Will we be allowed to keep our daughters in their strollers on the monorail? From what I've read, it sounds like strollers have to be folded up on the monorail, which sounds a lot different than at WDW, where people are constantly "wheeling" their children right into the monorail.

With two adults, two babies and two strollers (we don't want to bring our double stroller, as it is HUGE), it would definately be easier to stroll right onto the monorail and not have to take the girls out and carry them and the strollers.

Could anyone help me out? Thank you!

:wave2: Last December we had to take our 3 week old and our 2 year old out of the stroller every time we got on the monorail to fold it up. Even so if you are going when it is busy it is worth it. But yes it was a pain!

You'll find the monorail cabins at DL to be quite different than those at WDW. There is no standing room (ceilings are a bit too low and the seats cover most of the floor) and the seating is in rows (not just two benches facing each other). So, there is no room to roll strollers on board.

After 8 trips to WDW over the past five years, we foolishly thought we could wheel our stroller right on the DL monorail two weeks ago.

Needless to say, we had a lot of stuff stored on the bottom of the stroller and my DH worked up quite a sweat trying to unpack everything quickly, so he could fold the stroller up. Though we were staying at the DLH, that was our one monorail trip...it was just easier to walk (plus good exercise).

While we were on the monorail, I tried to save "face" with the other passengers by informing them you can wheel your strollers right on the WDW monorails. :teeth:

Thanks for everyone's reply! I guess my husband and I will have to "practice" our stroller routine before we go! I'm glad I know this in advance. We will be going in early December, so hopefully it won't be too busy, but we'll try to be prepared all the same!

Thank you!

Thanks for the stroller/monorail info. It's great to know this ahead of time.

Early December should be great! Just remember to go straight to the elevator once in the elevator Dad take twins Mom close cart and when you get to top you'll be ready to go. :cool1:
