I had this great umbrella stroller with my daughter. It was by baby trend. It had telescopic handles and held up well. I went to look for one for my son only to find out it is no longer made.

I am fairly tall so a generic umbrella is painful for me. I loved the high handle bars on my old one. Is there a decent umbrella or lightweight stroller that has high handle bars?

Our regular stroller is a double tandem stroller. We didn't want to take the bulky (and heavy with two kids in it) stroller to WDW last October, so we bought two of these:

My husband is 6'1" and had no trouble with the height of these strollers. They were wonderful and had everything we were looking for and needed:

1. Inexpensive!
2. Child snack tray w/ cupholder
3. Multi-position recline with a FULL recline (which was great for napping)
4. Parent cupholder(s)
5. Ample basket
6. Lightweight
7. Easy folding
8. Decent umbrella (although we did buy the Kiddopotamus RayShade to extend the umbrella because our kids were so young when we went)

They help up great and I use them occasionally when I've only got one child out at a time. They're mostly just sitting and waiting for our next trip though.

HTH! :goodvibes

I think the Inglesina Swift has pretty tall handlebars... they are certainly too tall for my short self!

Good luck!

I agree with the vote for Maclaren. They are VERY sturdy strollers with a high weight limit of 55 pounds (some models go higher). We bought a Volo for our DD (6 at the time) and used it for 2 years. She could still fit in it now at 9 if I needed her to. She is about 60 pounds. The handles are very tall (I have a 6'2" DH) and he doesnt mind pushing it at all. We loved the Mac so much that we ordered a Mac Quest for our newest Princess (the Quest reclines, the Volo does not). You cant go wrong with a Mac!! The Volo is very lightweight and has a carry strap. Great for throwing over your shoulder.

I'm hearing you about the short handlebars on the genaric strollers - what a pain in the back! We actually did end up picking up one of the Koolcraft (I think it is) umbrella strollers they sell in the Disney hotels. It was somewhere around $40 - definately not deluxe, but tall enough (I'm 5'8"), padded handles to make pushing it around Disney a joy in comparison to our cheapo umbrella. We'weren't looking to drop a ton of money into a stroller, so this fits the bill for us.
