Strollers in Disney

single $13, double $27
I have read about Orlando stroller rental agencies that are cheaper, but I do not know what/where. Anyone else help with this info??? :confused3

We used www.orlandostrollerrentals.com in August and have booked a double stroller for our March trip. Strollers are awesome and a great deal. Shannon dropped the stroller off at our hotel for us at the bell stand and we left it at the bell stand when we left. It was a life saver!!:worship:

Some folks think we're nuts, but ever since our girls got enough enough where they didn't really need to nap in the strollers, we've rented a double one. Sure, we could buy one for cheaper than we rent. And yes, we could definitely rent one cheaper from an outside agency. But the convenience of dropping it when we leave and not having to fold up a big mother of a stroller to get on a bus is pure heaven. We had our big old Graco DuoGlide (which weighs like 37 lbs) for two trips and I really wanted to hurl it into a trash can by the time our week was finished!

The rentals are expensive. They aren't terribly comfortable. And they don't have the best storage. But I'll never do it a different way!!

We're at WDW right now and I had to rave about www.OrlandoStrollerRentals.com as well! Shannon has been amazing - we arrived at our villa at night and the stroller was waiting inside for us, very nicely tagged with our name and in immaculate condition. My dh was SO impressed!

The strollers she rents are FANTASTIC! You can see them on her website - festive orange (easy to find after rides/shows ;) ) and very high quality. I have an 8 yo (when he needs a break) and 2 yo in the double and can push/steer easily w/one-hand (the stroller supports up to 100 lbs!). The frame is lightweight aluminum and the seats are side-by-side with enough room for the kids yet narrow enough to fit through any standard doorway. We drove it right on/off the Monorail, inside several restaurants at MK. The folding feature will blow you away - just grab two spots on the seat, pull and it instantly and effortlessly folds.

We watched many people struggle with single strollers on the parking lot tram and I felt almost guilty for having such a simple and well-made design that allowed us to get the stroller on so quickly and without a fuss. They are definitely NOT your mega-weight mondo-sized double strollers. :cutie: I saw another mama with the same stroller and she asked if I was also renting from Shannon :goodvibes . She was so impressed with her stroller that she's going to buy one when she gets home! I actually already own the same stroller (BJCSD) but we had no room in our van after three kids and luggage for a week. I was THRILLED to discover Orlando Stroller Rentals and will use them again every time. :woohoo:

And you can't beat the price - $85 for seven nights including delivery and pick-up. Couldn't be more convenient in every way. :lovestruc

Thanks for the info re: Shannon's orlando stroller rentals. We are going with 3 5yr olds and it's nice to know that the strollers can handle tired 8 yr olds as well.

We're going to be using Shannon/Orlando Stroller Rentals when we take our 4 month old DD to WDW in February.

I've heard many great things about them, and for $75 for the week, you can't beat it. Especially since I'll be able to take DD back to the resort with it as well.

It would be too much hassle to carry an infant around the resort and onto the busses, and then into the park to get a stroller. Just the same, I am not wanting to lug one through airport security or onto the plane!

FYI-The MK recently got new strollers and they are much smaller than the old blue ones.

Uh oh! I may be in trouble! I'm going to have to hunt down pics from someone. Thanks for the info!

After I stated my very firm opinion I started looking at Shannon's site and saying to hubby "ya know...the little one (our 4 year old) does tend to poop out and we have no idea how far our room will be from the bus stop. Maybe we should consider renting one we can use at the resort." LOL

Hmmmmmmm... The price IS so much better. But darn that convenience for just dropping it when we leave the park is so so so so nice. I'm torn!

Thanks again!

I saw them in person-they are much smaller than the blue ones.

I ordered a sit n stand stroller for our disney trip. After seeing all the great reviews for Orlando Stroller Rentals I regreted my purchase. I live in the Bahamas, so although I got a good price on the one I bought the shipping for our US mailing address to the Bahamas would be nearly the price of the stroller itself (this is not Walmart shipping mind you...that was only $.97). Fortunately the our US address will hold the stroller until I can pick it up in Jan, so I am booked with Shannon...YAY!!! I was afraid she wouldn't have availibility over Christmas, but with a phone call she said that would not be a problem.:cheer2:

Thanks to all for a great recommendation!!!:worship:

Those strollers are not made for tall people. I just about killed my back bending over pushing one. :scared: :sad1: :scared1:

Guess then it will be me pushing the stroller and not my DH...oh well, guess I can look at it as trying to work off some of the yummy food:yay:

Not sure if you are talking about the Baby Jogger but I am 6'1" and had no problem pushing it. I guess you may be referring to the park strollers though.:confused3
