Strollers for 3 kids 4 and under

I have a 4yr old, 2 yr old and 9 mth old. We will be using buses, what is the best double and single to bring. We have plenty of adults to help and they all need a stroller.

I can't really give any advice for a single, but for a double I recommend either a Graco DuoRider or Graco DuoGlider. Visit www.babyage.com for the best prices and free shipping. Also, check Sears because we got our DuoGlider there a few years ago for 75% off (the fabric scheme was discontinued).

I might say that for a single, Target has a Fisher Price stroller that looks like a Bugaboo Frog (super expensive!) for about $90 (I think). I thought the stroller was very cute when I saw it. I would buy it for a singleton.

I have been there!! Well, mine was 6mo, but her brother and sis were 2 and 4. We took our doublewide stroller and carried the baby in her Bjorn. I will NEVER take a stroller to WDW again! It was a pain getting on and off the buses (you must take the kids out of the stroller and fold it up) with it. On our last trip, we rented the strollers at the parks. My DH ended up carrying the 4yo (the former baby) on his shoulders to and from the bus stops many times, but that wasn't so bad.

I realize that a 9mo is a bit heavier and more interested in the world. If you have help, consider renting a double and single stroller at each park. You can rent them cheaper if you rent for length of stay, rather than one day at a time. Even if you park-hop, you can get a new stroller at the 2nd park. My 8yo son even wanted to ride in the stroller sometimes, so definitely plan on all of them being used! If you decide to take strollers, don't pack the cargo space too full since you have to fold it up so much. The only thing I would have changed about that trip was to rent strollers at the park. They are sturdy and made for heavy use. I had taken mine for ease in getting around the airports, but if you have plenty of adults, you can probably manage that without trouble. The new Magic Express service is a huge help there too! Enjoy your trip - hope this helps!

Our kids are the same age (except my youngest is 7 months old!) and we just got back a few weeks ago. We took a Graco duorider (side by side) and a Mac Quest. It worked out great and the kids kept changing where they wanted to sit!

Maclaren Triumph (double side by side that folds down umbrella style)!!!! Absolutely the best stroller I've owned (and I've had MANY!). We took ours to DL over Christmas and loved using it - I can actually fold it by myself WHILE holding the baby!!!! It even has a handle on the side for easy carrying. Just can't say enough good things about it!! And it is actually possible to push it a short distance w/ one hand!

We're going in one month (small 5, 3, just turned 1) and will be taking the Mac and a Peg Perego Pliko (got new at garage sale for $15 - what a steal!). The Pliko is a little harder to fold down, but not bad.... we'll see how it goes when the kids are all tired!!! I'm also taking our Baby Bjorn, but don't really want to use it since it will be HOT!

We went last fall with a 3 year old & twin 2 year olds. We had a GREAT experience with the Maclaren Rally Twin and the Maclaren Volo. They both fold compactly and are lightweight. We had no problems on the buses -- the drivers were always helpful, as were most other riders.

I really think the key is to find strollers that fold up umbrella style, and are lightweight. Shade canopies are important too and some storage underneath.

I love my Britax Esprit Stroller (single stroller) it is lightwieght, folds easily, and has a carrying handle on the side. It is my not so cheap umbrella stroller...that I use everywhere now.

I have 16 month old triplets and a 4 year old, so i know ALL about strollers from singels tup to quads!
I have a graco dou-glider that i purchased used from craigslist and i LOVE IT!
we also got a even flo in step double from target which i HATED! and resold on craigslist.
I purchased a used combi double stroller off of ebay that is about 2-3 uyears old but looks BRAND NEW for about 145. WITH SHIPPINg, and i tell ya this is BY FAR the BEST DOUBLE STROLLER. some of them even have little speakers youput into the canopy to give the kids music (i got one of these and love it).
i went to wal-mart the other day and was left alone, i was able to have my 4 year old walk next to the stroller and hold onto it, carry 1 baby on my hip and push the stroller with the other 2 babies (ok, ok they are TODDLERS NOW! ,lol) but push them with 1 hand!! EASILY I MIGHT ADD going through people and crowds!
this stroller is SUPER LIGHT and very durable, fits easily through doorways and such. do a search for them, there are lots new and used. they are WONDERFUl.
only thing i dont LOVE about it is the baskets, they are not HUGE like i like, but they are a pretty decent size and i can fit my purse and diaper bag plus a few extras in them, so plenty big enough.

i am bringing a combi and a graco dou glider ith me on my trip.
the combi is much easier and lighter and nicer looking the the graco dou, but i do love both.
oh and the combi has the adults cup holders also, make sure when purchasing whatever stroller you get it has that, a MUST!
as for the singelton stroller. I loved my travel system for my singelton. but thats when i had just her! i like the comfort a reg. stroller can give.

We just returned home. I brought my Graco Duoglider, & also had an umbrella stroller. The twins (3.5) switched back & forth. My 10 month old almost always had the backseat of the DuoGlider.
It worked out great.

In your case I would bring a nice double and a sling or front carrier for the baby. You will want the sling for the baby, mostly for lines and pavilions when strollers are not allowed. This way you can plan on the 4yo walking a good amount of time and if he/she needs a break you can wear the baby and give the stroller seat to the 4yo. If that dosen't sound feasable I would rent a single as needed for the 4yo.

There is a terrific trip report on the trip reports board about a single mom with a 7mo, 4yo and 5yo who just did a Disney trip alone with them. It will give you a good idea of what to expect and how wonderful its going to be.
