We didn't do parades last year, but I'm hoping to Do MSEP this year (hopefully with FP) and maybe Wishes. Can you give be the scoop on if you park or keep your stroller with you and if your kid stays in their stroller for the actual parade / fireworks?

I do not think mine will need it for overstimulation / fear during the actual events if that makes a difference. Just wondering about viewing / comfort.

I would definitely keep the stroller with you, and not just for comfort. It gets plenty crowded and is easier to have the ease of mind that your child is close by and protected. Also, when the crowds start to disperse, it is much easier to navigate with small ones.

Doesn't mean it is 'easy' to move through crowds with a stroller, so I wouldn't want to do it with older children, but with little ones, yes!
(not to mention it would be hard to find your stroller - especially after the fireworks at night :scared1:

I haven't been in a few years, but when we went, you definitely could keep the children in their strollers and just park them next to or in front of you. Parades are a little different than fireworks on where you want to park them, because at parades you are pretty much lined up againest the road. With fireworks, depending on where you are standing, I always felt like I needed to shield the stroller for fear of people backing up into it or not seeing it and running over it.

The stollers are definitely a good thing when you are waiting awhile for parades or fireworks, to give the kids a break. :)

I kept stroller with me during all parade's. Including the one at MVMCP. Kids sat in it until parade began or watched from our stroller.

We keep our stroller with us. Usually the kids sit in the stroller for the parade/fireworks.

We do the same. The little kids watch from their strollers, DH, the big kid, and I stand behind. That way we can all see well, but don't take up more space than we have to.

We keep our stroller with us as well. We usually reorganize everything that we shoved in the pockets throughout the day while we are waiting for the parade to start.
