Has anyone recently rented these? What is the procedure for this and is there a fee? Do these strollers recline (for naps) and are they comfortable for the kids? Are they allowed off the ship at the ports? Anyone had problems renting one because they were all gone?

We are trying to decide whether to bring ours or not. Thanks for your assistance.

It has been a couple of years since I needed a stroller, but we had no problem getting one. Just go to guest serivces on Deck 3 and they will take care of you. There was no charge and yes you can take them off the ship. I can't remember if they reclined, but I think they do. One note, the wheels do not swivel. I think this is so they can be used in the sand. It takes a little getting use to when try to steer through the Straw Market.

Last year we went to guest services to borrow a stroller. There was no charge. There was a refundable security deposit, however. We were allowed to take the stroller off the ship. DD was able to recline, and at one point did nap. We kept it for two days, folded it up, and stored it in our closet. Stop at guest services (near atrium) your first day onboard and inquire about the stollers.

Thanks for posting this!!! I was going to buy an umbrella stroller to take on the ship with us & now I don't have to. :)

We were just on the Wonder, and while we brought our own stroller, I did notice a number of families using the DCL strollers. They are a lightweight Graco stroller that do recline for naps. Also, we noticed that the strollers were out and available on a first come, first serve basis on Castaway Cay.

We brought umbrella strollers from home for both our babies,
but one look at Disney's and we were sold! They are a nice size but light weight, recline so baby can rest, huge canopy to help shadow sun, big basket to carry those souvies, diaper bag, etc. and a tray to hold bottle. The ones we used in Dec. did have the swivel wheels and were great @ St. T, St. M. and CC. They required a $100 refundable deposit.

Those sound wonderful!!! I just picked up a plain umbrella here. Guess we will be leaving that one home. :) Of course, now that we have decided to stay at WDW for 2 nights, we will need the strollers for the park but at least we don't have to lug them on board. :)

Thanks everyone for the replies. Guest Services will be one of our first stops!!

lbgraves - I'd leave the umbrella at home completely and rent one at WDW, too. We rented both single (for our DD) and double strollers (when we were with our friends who had DS) for $10/day single and $15/day double, I think. They were far more sturdy and had a great basket for souvenirs, etc. The WDW staff moves strollers around at the rides but you can easily ID which one is yours with the big name cards on the back. We were very happy to have one less thing to check through baggage, etc.

We are driving down to FL so we wont have to check anything. :) We also have a Jeep stroller & will be spending 4 days with family after all this so we can leave those strollers at their house when we leave to get on the ship. :)
