Strollers... a must or skip?

The question is how badly do you want to carry them?? Honestly my kids are 6 and 9 and when we went last year, yeah I got a stroller! :scared1: I knew they ould fall asleep and I didn't want to carry them so I made sure I got a stroller.

Now we leave in August and they'll be 7 and 10 - I'll still probably get a stroller! I know they'll fight - so I'm bringing duck tape to run down the middle of the stroller, but I'm probably going to get one.

I pay for the stroller for the week right up front then I don't have to wait in line every day to pay for it. I just show my ticket, get it stamped and we're on our way.

How long has it been since rented a Disney stroller? When I went in January of this year I noticed that they had new strollers that were a lot smaller. I don't think your 7 & 10 year old would both fit in the new double strollers.

Ok, I'm convinced. I am so glad I asked. I looked into the stroller swaps for a double stroller - but my dates are all taken. I'm going to have to dip into the mommy pool I have here to see if someone might let me borrow theirs for a week - maybe they'll swap my double jogger if I say "pretty please" :worship:

Would you recommend a stroller for the airport? ( I have a lot of questions for one little lady - huh :goodvibes)

If I can make it through the airport - I can always rent one from a company down there...

How big is your airport?

I find the Orlando airport to be pretty easily walkable - its pretty well laid out with trams to the central terminal - it never feels like any of the gates are MILES away. Some airports are tiny, some are big but well laid out for walking, and some are incredible messes of mile long hallways. Orlando is one of those large but well laid out airports. If your home airport is small or similar, you might be able to do it without strollers.

I'm coming from Logan Airport in Boston - can be crazy - definitely not the open organized feel of Orlando Airport! It's chaotic till you get to the gate. We are leaving early in the morning from boston, so the stroller might be a help at our home airport. Once we get to Florida, I don't think I'll be able to contain them in a stroller at the airport... it's fine as long as they can keep up with their mama! :rotfl:

If you don't bring a stroller or two, put it into the budget that you'll need to rent one or two. Disney wipes kids out, and I've only been to DLR, not the vastness that is WDW.

My husband convinced me that when DS was 3.5 I shouldn't bring the stroller on the trip b/c it would be such a pain...what was a pain was carrying the little sack of potatoes back every night! Took a year for my hips to recover. Ouch.

Well this is where my DH would have had to carry the load not me it was his decision boy I bet if he had to carry your little one a rental would have appeared at the hotel because I know that my DH would do something like that:rotfl:

Have to agree on your assessment of Logan-especially if you fly Delta. I find even if the kids don't want to be in the stroller it make a good luggage cart. AND I make the kids hold onto the stroller so I can keep track of them when my hands are too busy to hold their hand.

If they tire easy I would bring or rent. My 4 yr old did it without one, but she does not tire easy, does not use one at home, and we had her on a walking program about 6 months out from our trip.
