We are taking all the kids and grandkids later this year. Is there a good place to rent a stroller or strollers to use while there. We are at BCV and want to be able to use them to and from parks as well.

I havent used them yet, but thanks to the reservations on the Family board, I'm planning to try out Orlando Stroller Rentals!

I have used the stroller they rent (baby jogger citi mini) at my neighbors and its a really great stroller!

Orlando Stroller Rentals sponsors the Dis Family Board, you can find the link there I believe! They do drop off and pick up at your resort too!

Magic Strollers... also rents the baby jogger city mini and I think they're a bit less expensive than others. Plus it's run by the gang from Owner's Locker... customer service that can't be beat!

We did Orlando Stroller Rentals for our last BCV stay with grandchild. Stroller was bright orange so easy to find, folded very easy and the company was very easy to work with.

Do ether of the companies offer insurance for a p[rice in case the stroller is lost or damaged

Magic Stroller does theft insurance... $25 for the length of your rental.

Is taking your own an option? We took ours this past December to WDW and last June to DL. We flew Southwest and Jet blue, they didn't charge for Gate Checking the strollers.(I hope the airlines don't change this) We like ours, has a lot of storage.

if you can take your own gate checking is an option as long as you bring the kids up to the jetway in it
another option would be to purchase one down there we have done this in the past and when we left we asked them at the front desk to donate it to a local group for us

While I'd recommend avoiding A Baby's Best Friend. We had a number of issues with them on our last trip. And calling to find out what was going on resulted in 20 minutes on hold until my husband got annoyed and called back. Which is not a fun way to start your vacation - stroller-less AND annoyed. (long and short of it - I'm guessing they forgot/lost our reservation and were busy scrambling to ship out a stroller to our resort). We ought to have canceled it and taken the number given to us by Bell Services for another service. (Actually, we ought to have known when Bell Services and the Concierge had never heard of ABBF).

To top it all off - after we got home, we got a call from the owner. NOT to apologize for the confusion, but to tell us all about why we were in the wrong to start with. He argued with my husband until John finally hung up on him. Is this Customer Service?

Next time, we'll try Orlando Stroller Rental, too.

It is Oh So Nice to have the stroller between the parks and the resort. Though a pain on the bus. It WOULD have been nice to have it in the airport in Orlando BUT I was afraid of damage in transit. And the airport we were flying into was really tiny. We had to walk about 50 feet from the gate to my parents. Who fully intended to carry the Grandbaby anyway.

Cleverest moment I had - I bought an $8 stroller rain shield at Sears before we left. It kept the stroller dry when parked, and the baby dry when wandering around if it was raining.

We rented one from Magic Strollers in Nov and it was AWESOME! Magic Strollers included a bunch of EXTRA storage features that I see other companies don't include. The stroller was clean and their customer service outstanding. W arrived on a Saturday and I couldn't figure out how to close the stroller, gave them a call and they answered promtly. They told me how to close it and we were on the go.:thumbsup2

While everyone's experience is different, we have used abbf many times and have hadno problems what so ever from them. Interesting topic for your very first post.

:confused3

Not sure what you're implying there. But, like most people, I'm more motivated to share a negative experience than a positive one. I've read these boards for years, just never had anything I wanted to contribute badly enough to bother with. Nothing motivates quite like a bad experience.

And, frankly, I'd have been willing to give ABBF (They do carry more items) a second chance had it NOT been for the idiotic phone call after the fact. I found it a little over the top that someone would call and leave repeated voicemails in an effort to tell me personally why I'm wrong to be annoyed. I didn't refuse payment, I didn't demand a refund - I was just irritated and said so.

So, now you've shared your experience, and I've shared mine. And the OP can take it into account or not when deciding what to do.

We have always brought our own strollers and gate checked them as I like having them at the airport and resorts both for transporting kids and thier gear! I have never been charged for the gate check. Several years ago I bought a relatively inexpensive but comfortable Graco stroller with decent storage space. As it was not overly expensive, I didn't worry too much about something happening to it or it being taken, as it really didn't cost me much more than renting a stroller would have. Fortunately it has survived multiple trips without incident and now I still have an extra stroller to use at home too.

Definately Orlando Stroller Rentals! Used them in Dec. 09 for my 3yo DD and 7 yo DD. Got the sit and stand for our stay at BWV. So key to have it outside the parks!! And it is so easy to rent. Stroller is delivered right to your resort - pick up at bell services and return to bell services at the end of your stay. Good luck! :cheer2:

If you can take your own, I would highly suggest it! We have pretty nice strollers and I have loved having them with us. I have never worried about them while we are there and it is great to have them with you the entire trip. The jogger strollers and full size travel strollers are nice until you have to board a bus with them. That is why we bought nice, but compact strollers for our Disney travels :)

we just got back and rented from Magic Strollers-they were cheaper than Orlando strollers and included the rain cover and parent organizer. We would highly recommend them!

Owner's Locker. I believe they have started renting stroller. We love our Owner's Locker and they have a wonderful relationship with Bell Services at all the resorts. The Purple Van is the best!

Here's another vote for Magic Strollers. We have an Owners Locker and love the service for both. The stroller was at our resort when we arrived, it was extremely clean and the price was lower than the competition. We will be using them again for our trip in Nov.
