Over a year ago I asked on this forum if folks thought it would be okay for me to use a stroller to carry my stuff in the parks. Because of shoulder, back, and joint problems, I can't carry much for extended periods of time.

Well, I had to cancel my trip last year, but I finally tried it out just last week.

I bought a small, inexpensive umbrella stroller and used it in all the parks to carry my tote bag. It worked really well, even though it was an embarrassment to my teenage son. I did get some funny comments from CMs asking about my "baby," and I came up with several different lines, like, "He looks like his father." I always explained what I really was using the stroller for, and the CMs all thought it was a good idea.

I think a stroller is a good solution for those who would have trouble carrying a shoulder bag or a backpack all day, and it's not going to get you into any trouble with the CMs the way a rolling backpack might. Also, you can park the stroller outside of attractions. I wore a small waistpack with my money and tickets and never worried that anything would happen to the stroller and the tote bag. And nothing ever did. :)

Glad it worked for you.
Even if the parks didn't have a problem with wheeled backpacks, they still are not easy to pull around, so might not have helped that much with your problem. We have used one in the past for DD's communication device and found it to be too much trouble (tipping over, etc). We ended up just acrrying ti.

I have solved a combination mobility and carrying problem by hooking a set of foldable luggage wheels to my ECV (a stroller would work, too) and towing stuff that way. It came especially useful when I was transferring from an off-site resort to a Disney resort for a few days and wanted to use the free bus to the parks that the off-site resort provided. I use that method to tote my carry-on bags around airports too...Wagons Ho!
