Last time we went to Disney, my boys were 5 and 2 1/2(well, he turned 5 a week after we went). Needless to say, we had a double stroller. My oldest (our ASD kid) used it more than the toddler. He'd pull the canopy down and have his space for a bit when it became too stimulating. Our youngest rejected strollers before he was two and Disney was no different.

We are planning a trip for January. They will be almost 8 and 5 1/2. I don't think we need a double, BUT if we get a stroller, I want to get one that the oldest can use as well to "get away." My issue isn't the weight - he's super skinny and weighs almost the same as his brother - it's the height. He can fold himself up pretty well (he insists on riding in the car carts at the grocery store, something he is WAY too big for...but he fits.) I don't imagine he'll be in it often, just when he needs some down time. Are there single strollers that are longer than others? We've been out of strollers in normal life for almost 4 years. I have no idea what's out there.

Joovy Zoom 360 jogging stroller. We have 2 for our ASD boys, 9 & 11. Our 9 yr old is huge (4'8" 133 lbs) and he fits pretty well and as long as the tires are fully inflated (comes with it's own travel pump) the stroller is super easy to push. He's been way over the weight limit for several years and his stroller is still going strong with no issues at all.

Thank you! I was looking at those (and others). It looks like Orlando Medical Rental has them too!

We love ours! My son is a good 50 lbs over the weight limit and it hasn't fallen apart yet :woohoo:

What's your son's height?

He's a hair over 50" Most strollers on the rental sites have a maximum of 48 or 49". He's not *that* far over and likely won't be much taller in 4 months. If you got to the manufacturer's sites though, the recommended limit is 44" on the same ones. An inch or so isn't bad. Six inches could be a problem.

If I recall correctly, I believe City Elites from Baby Jogger have a 50" height limit, but I can't remember for sure. We happened to be in Buy Buy Baby today, and I saw a Baby Jogger Summit X3, and its height limit was 48", and I know that there are offsite stroller rental companies that rent out summit x3 strollers. Maybe that would work?
