What are the chances it'll be found?

It was raining and we put a poncho over it and we think someone grabbed the wrong one. The thing is, at some point they had to realize it wasn't theirs. The giant yellow swim backpack embroidered with my daughter's name should've been the first clue. So while it likely started an accident, the person who took it didn't bother to turn it in to lost and found and that makes my blood boil.

There was nothing of value to anyone else in it. Our extra shoes, my kids mickey ears and autograph books, our medications and prescription glasses, a few half empty bottles of soda, etc. but it had value to us. And someone out there has it and that makes me sick.

My only hope right now is that because the park began closing down at 6 and opened at 9, that means they probably were clearing out until 7 and had people coming in for breakfast reservations by 8, that's not a lot of time and my stroller could be sitting somewhere in the park unnoticed. Praying that's the case.

It might surface again. But strollers actually do get stolen, so there's no way to know if it was lost in the shuffle or purposely taken.

I would double check later but not get your hopes up.

Let us know if it surfaces!

I am very sorry this happened to you. I know it leaves a very bad taste.

What a bummer, sure hope it turns up! With that said I am soooooooo glad that this year we are ditching the stroller! It is such a hassle having to keep up with it and trying to park it and then having to fold it up to get on the bus......I'm so over it!!!!

Was it an expensive stroller? There have been previous threads about people taking "boutique" strollers and selling them on eBay.

So sorry this happened. It's a good reminder to everyone not to leave anything valuable in a stroller. So glad there was nothing that wasn't replaceable ... and fingers crossed that it shows back up.

It wasn't a super cheap one but it wasn't a thousand dollar stroller either. Maybe like $200. Really nothing that screamed "take me!"

So sorry! Such a crummy feeling of violation when something like this happens. :(

I hope it shows up, good luck! :flower3:

I will be the optimistic one, maybe someone grabbed it on accident and ended up staying until 6am, I know the way I was falling asleep at 6am, if I had either of my kids with me, it would have been easy to take the wrong stroller and get back to the room and crash, so they still may not know they have the wrong stroller.

Sorry this happened to you. If it wasn't stolen and taken by accident, then I wonder what happened to their stroller. There would be an extra stroller somewhere.

Have you checked with the main lost and found at the TTC? At the end of each night, all items are turned into that location. On our most recent trip my grandmother lost her eyeglasses somewhere between Peter Pan and HM; we scoured the area, checked with guest services, nothing. The next morning we checked at the TTC and sure enough, they were there. You can also call them at 407-824-4245 instead of checking in person.

I would like to think the stroller was mistakenly taken, but I doubt that is the case. I would know pretty quickly if I took the wrong stroller.

My daughter left her cell phone on a bench in Epcot. When I called her number a lady answered. I was excited that someone had found it. When she realized I was the owner of the phone she hung up and shut the phone off. I assumed it to be lost. About 2 weeks after we got home, I got a call from WDW lost and found. The phone had been turned in! I'm thinking either the lady couldn't get past the password and dumped it or, felt guilty and turned it in. We didn't even report it to lost and found. I'm have no idea how Disney knew it was ours as my kid refused to put the ugly sticker I gave her with MY phone number on it, before we left.

So, all that to say don't give up hope. :thumbsup2

The funny thing is we didn't even have the baby with us. We stayed the whole 24 so we used the stroller to lug all our stuff (cooler of water, extra shoes, etc). I'm most annoyed about the shoes. I just bought everyone new sneakers a few weeks ago and now they are gone. Ugh.

That is a total bummer. New shoes and all. I am very optimistic and I feel that your stroller will be turned in and you will get your stuff back. Really sorry that this happened to you.

With found items it sometimes takes a bit of time for the item to get to lost&found. As with everything, Disney has a process. So put in a report for the stroller and for the backpack separately, and keep checking back.

Having lost something even less valuable from a stroller, and knowing how gross it feels, we stopped leaving ANYTHING in the stroller.

As for a $200 stroller, that's pretty darned valuable!

And people wondered why we responded the way we did to the poster last week who wanted to use a stroller to carry their stuff...

New shoes for everyone are valuable!

For the future....Igloo MaxCold cooler backpack for water is easily carried and can go on all rides at WDW. Extra shoes can go in string backpacks and go on rides with you. etc.
