I am visiting Disney with my children ages 1 and 5. I am looking for a double stroller that is easily folded, lightweight, easily pushed and has a little room for cups/storage if possible. Any suggestions on a good stroller? Also, one that is able to hold a 40 lb 5 year old.

Thanks!!!!!!

Baby Jogger. If you look at some of the other stroller threads you can read about why this is a favorite stroller of many dis-er's.

I'm looking, too, but I don't have a $400 stroller budget! I'm looking for something I can buy secondhand for about $100.

I've tried a Graco DuoGlide - too big, too bulky, too hard to maneuver. I've also tried the Peg Perego Aria, thinking I'd like it because I love my Peg Perego P3. Nope, the unequal weight is killer on my shoulders. I'm currently considering a Sit 'n Stand.

We bought a Jeep double umbrella stoller for our trip last year with DD (then 4) and DS (the 3 mos) and it worked great. Since it's an umbrella stroller, it folds up pretty compactly and can be brought on the Disney buses easily, it reclines, it has a detachable cup holder, and two small detachable saddlebags, has a moveable sunshade for each side, and you can even roll up the lining in the seat so that you get better airflow through the mesh underneath. Because it is Jeep brand, it has slightly bigger tires than your normal umbrella stroller and is easily manuevered...even with one hand. It is also less than $100. We saw a lot of other people using these on our trips.....it become a running joke between DH and I that there were so many other people with the same idea as us. The only drawback that I found was that it did not have any underseat storage....so we bought a storage bag that had loops on it that hung off of the handles on one side so that we could put our extra stuff in there.

Hi :) I highly recommend the Maclaren Triumph, we love it

Pros:
Easy to steer (even with my 7 year old in it!!)
Easy to fold
Most lightweight double on the market (21.6 lbs)
5 point harness
Wide Seats (but can still fit through a doorway!)
Reclines (few different positions)
Lockable wheels
Incudes a raincover
Umbrella style stroller
Washable fabric (can unhook and wash in washing machiene)
Carry strap on the side for when it is folded up
One hand fold!!
Front swivel wheels
Holds up to 110lbs

Cons:
No cup holder (there is a stroller tote/bag/organizer that Maclaren makes for the double and it holds 2 drinks/bottles and has pouches to hold items too)

We have brought several different strollers to Disney and this one is by far the best for our family. Has been through Disney, airports, malls, parks and it is still like new! Best wishes and have a great trip to Disney ::MickeyMo

Ditto CheshireCat. We have a MacLaren Twin Triumph and it is across-the-board awesome. We got it shortly after my son was born and he'll be two next month. It has held up really well and I look forward to strolling him & his sister (who will be nearly 4) around WDW this fall...and lowering the recline when they inevitably pass out each evening!

:thumbsup2 First and foremost, the stroller is very lightweight and very easy to fold up and carry on the buses
:thumbsup2 The fabric feels like canvas and seems to breathe well (imp. for O-town heat) and cleans up well, too!
:thumbsup2 The kids can fall asleep comfortably and have the seats reclined
:thumbsup2 It is a slender double :lmao: - you can make it through average doorways and even through shops...not easily, but what stroller is?
:thumbsup2 It's easy to push, it has big pockets on the back of each seat and a decent sized set of mesh storage areas underneath.
:thumbsup2 It's very simple and modern looking - mine is coffee brown, which is dull, I know, but I make my own seat covers for the kids and that's where the 'color' on mine comes in.
:thumbsup2 Although you can get them, new, for around $200, you should keep an eye out on craigslist and (maybe?) consignment shops where you can get one a year or two old for half the price. Score!

So yeah, two votes for the Triumph. I honestly think the Mac TT is the *perfect* Disney Park stroller. :cloud9: Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions. I did look through some other threads and noticed the Macleran and Baby Jogger are popular. I was hoping not to spend that much though:) I found a stroller called Chico Trevi Twin Stroller. Anyone have any experience with that? It looks nice although not as good as the Macleran and Baby Jogger...but it's only $169.

according to chicco's site, the trevi twin only holds UP TO 40lbs in each seat...you may not be using it long. I have a Chicco Cortina (not good for your needs) and I love love love it!! I have had a very positive experience with the Chicco brand. I've seen the Trevi Twin at the zoo & such & it is nice looking.
