Looking for stroller suggestions for a 6 year old who looks like an 8 year old lol. Yes i know he should be able to walk but we are that family who is there when the park opens, leaves when it closes, and moves around the park like we only have an hour to do everything! Thinking he may get tired out PLUS we use it to hold all our bags as we walk. It is especially helpful at end of night when we are going back to buses and he is sleeping so I would rather not rent one inside park. Any suggestions on stroller brands that aren't too expensive?

Most strollers for kids needing higher weight and height limits are pricey to purchase.

Some of the rental companies that deliver to the Disney resorts have the baby jogger city mini GT and the baby jogger city elite. The GT will hold 55 pounds and the elite will hold 75 pounds.

Some others may know of other brands that would potentially work for your child.

I found a joovy caboose for $20 on craigslist! I was so excited about it! :yay:

It's a smaller double stroller, (rated for higher weights) don't know if you need that, but check out craigslist for the type of stroller you are wanting before you buy a brand-new one.

My son is 5 and my daughter is 3. I know we will need it for my daughter for sure, but wanted to be safe & have the double so my son could hop on, as we plan on being at the parks all day as well.

Definitely check out the different local stroker rental companies! I rented the last time I was down there and it was a great experience. Clean, convenient and NICE strollers. I know the companies carry strollers for bigger kids. Beats buying a new stroller for a one time situation.

My one is 55 pounds and 51 inches and the other I think is about 65 lbs and 54 inches. Yes big boys but again we need to move quickly through park and no whining allowed (lol). No way we can carry these guys;)

I would call some of the rental companies and give them their sizes and let them tell you want will work well. The last trip we considered a stroller, I went to BRU and tried a ton of them with our just turned 5 year old.He was maybe 45- lb and he was 45ish inches. I had trouble finding one that I was willing to spend that kind of money on for a week, and finding one that pushed well with a bigger child. We ended up not buying anything, and deciding to rent in the park as we needed and we never needed it. In park strollers would fit them ok, and push really well, but as you said would not be an option to leave the park with. Remember that strollers would have to be folded for buses so they would have to get out for that time, but they can be a life savor if you have a long walk back to the room from the resort bus stop.

I don't think they make a double that will hold a combined weight of 120 lbs and most singles are less than 55. If you really think they need it, maybe a wheelchair or special needs stroller would work.

We have a Maclaren that is really easy and quick to fold up, lightweight and has decent size basket underneath for holding stuff. I have a new one $149 and one we got on craigslist for $35 that still needs the recall parts so it's not a "finger pincher"
We used it anyway when we brought our 3 1/2 and 6 year old boys three years ago. My older son was 6 and 65 lbs and it has a weight limit of about 60-65 lbs and it was great.

We're now going with an almost 7 year old and a 9 year old this October. I plan to bring one for the 7 year old even though he's 67 lbs. He gets so whiny on long walks and I know he won't make it.

It's tall enough for handle height for my husband 5'11" to push around comfortably. So important to have a quick fold up for airport security and for getting on the transportation.

Call the stroller rental companies like Kingdom and Orlando Stroller Rentals. They deliver and pick up from area hotels. I reservedc the City Elite for my 6yo. 48" and approx 50lbs.

I don't feel the need to explain my choice and you shouldn't either! You know your child best. :)
