Stroller Strategy - Please Help!

My family (DW, DD4 and Myself) are going for 4 days in early June and while my DD4 is NOT a stroller rider, she also isn't opposed to getting tired and asking to be carried, so I came to the conclusion that we will bring a stroller.

How should we do it?

Part of me thinks we should rent in the parks AK, DHS and then two days at MK. But we do plan to come back to the AoA midday.

What I read about the walk to our Little Mermaid rooms (as far as 1/3 of a mile) -- I'm thinking the collapseable umbrella stroller might be the way to go.

So, what is your Magic strategy for me? Rent and carry her from the bus? Try to ship down an umbrella stroller ahead of time? Buy one there somewhere and maybe ship it home? Help!

I'd rent from an offsite vendor such as Magic Strollers. That way you'll have it all the time.

You can rent a stroller from outside companies. They deliver it to your resort on arrival day and pick it up on your departure day. I rented from baby wheels Orlando, but there are several companies that do it. Personally, I wouldn't rent from the parks because like you said there's no stroller from park to bus and bus to hotel room. If you don't need a stroller at the airport renting from an outside company might be a good option.

Are you driving or flying? Why would you need to ship? It can be checked at the gate of the airplane. Some people say they find it hard to navigate the airport with a stroller, but if my kids not in it then a bag is so it doesn't seem like a hassle to me.

That said, most people seem to rend citi mini's which are AWESOME strollers.

I'd want to have it at the end of the night for the walk back to the room.

We are headed down in May and rented a City Mini from Orlando Stroller Rentals. They will drop it off and pick it up for you. The rentals are actually cheaper then renting from the parks and you get to have them at all times. I have also heard great things about the City Mini strollers, that is we went with one. Kingdom Strollers is another off site rental place. I believe they were less expensive but did not have the stroller we wanted.

$40 for 4 days is well worth avoiding the hassle of shipping your own stroller and worrying about damage.

We paid $110.00 for 9 days and that included insurance, a cooler, and a rain cover.

My 4 year old did fine without a stroller on our October trip. But, we aren't the type to be at the parks for hours on end, we kind of bounce around. We stayed at Art of Animation and the walk is a little long but an entertaining jaunt with the figures and the Lion King cave, unless she's sleeping she won't mind the walk, you'll probably be trying to catch up with her.
