I'm sure some people have heard of this allready, but I just booked a double jogging stroller with "A baby's best friend" for $90 for our 8 day trip. They deliver it to your hotel free of charge and pick it up on your last day free of charge. There are many different kinds to choose from. I know when I heard of the $31 dollar stroller rental price increase I was freaking out, but I ran across this and I am SOOOOO glad I did!:thumbsup2 :woohoo: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Here's the website:

If it has a wheel that sticks out in front or will not swivel, you might not be able to use it in the parks if the parks get crowded. Those big jogging strollers are real hazards to people walking around them.

the wheel does not stick out in front and it does swivel. The last time I was there I saw quite a few strollers like this. I dont see how it could be a problem:confused3 As a matter of fact, it looks smaller than the Disney World double stroller.

Smart thinking!

I wonder how long it will be before the off-site rental places raise their rates...I mean, they can probably tack on another 5 or 6 bucks/day and still be a bargain in comparison.

That said - you may want to check if your rental rate is guaranteed. Maybe even pay now.

That is a great deal! I think I'm going to buy another stroller for our trip. I have one of the Phil and Teds joggers and I can't see how to get it around a lot of people, with the big wheels on it I would be afraid to run into someone with it.

Be careful if you buy or rent a jogger - I've heard Disney sometimes doesn't let them in the parks. Especially if they are the kind where the front wheel doesn't swivel. I'm having the same problem right now - normally rent a double now I have to decide what to do for our May trip.

Is this a new issue with Disney about the double joggers? I ask because we've taken a double jogger to WDW 3x a year for the last few years and we've never had any problems in the parks.

To the OP ~ awesome deal!

I don't know - I just read it on another thread somewhere here and they said sometimes they can turn the double joggers away.

Ok, thanks. The WDW double stroller is wider than our double jogger, so hopefully the size won't be an issue. Our last trip was as recent as a few months ago and we didn't have any issues. We're going again in a few weeks, so we'll see how it goes! Good luck OP and congrats on that great rate!

there is also on the budget boards a couple of single umbrella stroller swaps. It is free but you have to get put on the lists.

If you get turned away because of your stroller, politely ask ANOTHER CM if you could speak to a manager. Calmly explain the situation. If you are polite and calm, you will probably get the desired result.

We have that stroller and LOVE it! :thumbsup2 Good deal!

You have the one I am renting? Have you ever had a problem getting into the parks with it? It looks smaller than the DW strollers. What do you think?

What happens if someone steals your rented jogger or stroller form one of these companies. I am thinking about doign it, but wonder what their policy is since theft will be sure to rise given the price increase.

WOW!! Those are nice double joggers....anyone know what kind it is and how much it costs???

anyone???? I can't see the brand name on this double jogger they offer, but it looks nice!

There are numerous companies in the Orland area that rent baby equipment, just do a Google search. This past weekend we bought a Sit-N-Stand from Target for our two boys because even though we had rented a double stroller from WDW on both trips last year I can't see paying those prices for our two trips this year. In the few days between when I had heard about the new price increase and when we bought the new stroller I did a good bit of research online.

This is what I found:
https://www.all-about-kids.com/rental.htm - $10/day for Double or Sit-n-stand; $11/day for Double jogger

http://www.abbf.com/equipment.php?item=joggerx2 - $85 for a 4 to 7 night rental – free delivery to WDW resorts.

http://www.orlandocribrental.com - Think it was right around $80-85 for the week, $50 minimum charge to get free delivery, offer 10% discount for military just have to mention it when placing order.

If you are renting a car sometimes the car rental company will rent strollers. And if you are renting a vacation home sometimes those companies will also rent baby equipment.

HTH.
