I'm planning on renting a stroller at Magic Kingdom. We're staying on premises and want to be in the park when it opens at 9A. Am I correct in understanding that Main Street USA actually opens prior to the opening time? Is that at 8A or 8:30A? Are the stroller rentals open then, too, or do they remain shut until the 9AM opening time for the rest of the park? Thanks.

Hi! When we were at the MK earlier this month, the park opened at 8:30 (well, Main Street did) and you could get your stroller at that time. It's on your right as you enter the park.

Thanks, threeboysmom. My kids want to do Dumbo and I'm just strategizing about how I can get to it quickly when the park first opens.

honeymom - that was our strategy too! Get to MK at 8:30 opening, grab a stroller and get to Fantasyland rope drop to be one of the first to ride Dumbo (all the characters rode the first 2 cycles of Dumbo when we were there). Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. We "watched" the characters ride Dumbo while we patiently waited in line. I think we ended up riding 3rd or 4th cycle, and we were at the rope drop too, though near the back end of it - all those people trying to squeeze through the castle all at once was a nightmare!!

Renting a stroller took a lot longer than we thought. Next time I'll just bring my own and not wait in line :)

Thanks for the tip about characters riding Dumbo - I've made note of that for our trip in Sept! I didn't know. Jana
