How much do they cost at the parks? Are they any better than just bringing our own umbrella stroller ?

I wouldn't rent Disney strollers..I'd look at an offsite company like Orlando stroller rentals, kingdom strollers or apple..likely cheaper than Disney rentals. ans nicer strollers

The best I can recall is the single strollers at Disney are about $18 a day. They are hard plastic strollers where the kid sits very close to the ground. They are not the best IMO. Also, you get it in the morning and return it when you leave. You cannot take it to another park or back to your hotel.

Renting offsite is cheaper and they have nice strollers like the city mini strollers. Right now, Apple Scooters has a special for strollers. All you pay is the $5 per day insurance cost. They are a preferred vendor which means they deliver and pick up from your hotel bell services.

After our trip to Disney last year I went home and purchased a City Mini because i loved it so much! They are so eassy to use and comfortable for the kids as well. I am coming for 10 days this November and I got my stroller rental for $60 for the whole time.

They do have some use, depending on the age(s) and weight of the child(ren).

We rented the double stroller from Disney for our twins' first 2 trips, when they were 4 1/2 and the next year when they were 5 1/2. At 4 1/2, they weighed too much for umbrella strollers, and even a double jogger was pushing the envelope. The Disney strollers were pricy even back then, but we just budgeted it into the trip. It made MK after the parade and Epcot in general so much easier to manage.

IMO, Disney strollers have their place. OP, only you can decide what would work best for your family. Good luck!

We just rented one earlier this month, they're 15 dollars a day, but if you're going to rent for more than one day tell them the first day and pay for all the days the first day and then it's 13 dollars a day. It worked out well for us. My dd is 6 and while we didn't want to bring or rent a regular stroller for her and deal with it on buses etc. like we've done when she was younger, it came in handy to have during the really hot, busy or nighttime part of the day. I certainly wouldn't use it for a young child, but it worked well for our purposes.
