Since the only time that we'll need a stroller during our April vacation is at Universal, I'm thinking of renting a stroller each day.

Do the strollers have storage areas? How much is the daily rental charge? Is there usually a long line to rent first thing in the morning? We'd be there during spring break and I don't think my FOTL privledges would extend to renting strollers...:teeth:

Thanks, T&B

Hi,

I can't remember how much it is to rent one, somewhere between 7 & 10, I think.

Not really any storage space and yes, there is usually a line. I've rented in the past but think, in hind sight that I would've been better bringing my own from home.

Have a wonderful time!

Thanks! I'll bring mine from home then. I live for stroller storage space. I stuff so many things on, around, and under the stroller. Also, it will be nice to have the stroller to walk back to the hotel. We're staying at HRH (not far, I know) and my 4yo would much prefer to be pushed around than to walk, the lazy boy. :) We're bringing our cartop carrier this year so shouldn't have too much of a space issue (we didn't last year and had our van packed so tight we felt like sardines).

They are just like the ones you rent at Disney. Plastic, with the flat seat....not really any storage.

Seems that they would put storage on the strollers--it would encourage people to shop... I've heard that Seaworld has nice strollers with storage, so they do make them.

It's really better if we have the stroller with us, anyway. We can then load it up with all our junk before leaving HRH.

Thanks, T&B

I always take my own stroller if possible. There is nothing worse than having to carry a sleeping child out to your hotel, car, etc... There are times my son, who is also 4, falls asleep late in the day. If we had to return the stroller and carry him from there...ooh, dont even want to think about it...

Yes, 4yo's can be real lugs when they are sleeping. I just returned from Orlando with only my 4yo (my other kids stayed home, it's not that I left them in Orlando :teeth: ) and he rode in his stroller a lot. When his older brother was 4yo we took our first trip to WDW and he hardly rode in the stroller at all and we really could have done without it, except it was great for pushing all our stuff around. HRH isn't far from the parks, but Jake can scream real loud when he doesn't want to do something, including walking when he is tired. Why again am I going??? :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

The going rate for stroller rental right now at Universal is 10.00 for a single and 16.00 for a double.
