What can we expect for amount of time to be waiting to rent a stroller in the parks at rope drop? Our last trip we brought strollers, but are thinking of renting in park this time.
Thanks!

We rented from applescooter when we went and it was so worth it. They deliver the stroller to your hotel so its there when you arrive. They cost only like 5.00 a day so it was cheap. I'm debating if i'm going to need it again. I think i'm just going to rent it and if my 5 year old doesn't want it then i'll just eat the 50.00 bucks. They are nice strollers too. They are the running type with 3 wheels. (they have 4 wheels but the front 2 are so close together at the tip).

Thanks for that info. We were looking at the parks since we have a 3 year old who will need the stroller the most and a 6 year old that might want to sneak a rest or two at the end of the day. I've found that the strollers for rent outside the parks have weight limits that are not high enough for both.

I'm sure others will come along who have way more experience than me but I just thought I'd share our experience from a few years ago. We've only rented a stroller at Disney on one trip. We had no intentions of doing it but our then 6yo was having a bad case of seasonal allergies and her medication made her tired. We knew she'd never be able to do all the walking, so on our arrival day we went to Epcot (arriving mid-afternoon) and did a multi-day rental. It was quick and easy because there was no one else in line. The multi-day rental saved us a few dollars and it meant we didn't have to stand in the long line at rope drop to rent a stroller. We could just walk right to the distribution corral, show our receipt, and get a stroller. We never had to wait in line for that -- though I've seen other people say that even the pick-up line is sometimes long. Another thing we did was that we didn't always pick up the stroller right at rope drop. We'd go ride a few things first and then my husband or I would swing by the stroller rental area and pick up a stroller. We found that to be easier than trying to maneuver the stroller through the rope-drop crowd. Plus, our daughter was usually full of energy at that time of the morning so it wasn't essential to have it the minute we entered the park.

Great feedback. I think we will check out the line at the start of the day and if it is too long we will just wait until later in the day to get the stroller. That idea hadn't come to me until your post so thank you.

Check out renting a city mini GT, either double or single, from an outside company. They can fit larger children like a 6 year old. The weight limit on a double is 100 lbs., single is 65 lbs
