Hi!

I am helping plan Darling Niece's first trip. She is 2.5 years old.

Does anyone know the cost of stoller rental? Can you rent a stroller for the week, or do yo have to "turn it in" everytime you leave a park?

I have heard that the Disney strollers are hard plastic and don't recline, so it is difficult for kids to nap.

So....rent them or bring one?

Thanks!

You have to turn them in every time you leave the park. I always bring mine. More comfy, and if y dd falls asleep on the way out of a park, I can use the stroller when getting her from the car/bus to the hotel room. Also, I like to have it to help cart all of our stuff at the airport. Then you gate check it (get a tag for it and hand it off) and have it ready as soon as you are getting off of the plane.

We actually used it more to carry the stuff than my daughter for the airport, and it works out well.

I personally would bring a stroller for a child that young. Putting cost aside, I would bring it just for convenience. If you rent a stroller you pick it up and drop it off at the park entrance. This means if you are leaving after the fireworks at MK you may have to carry a sleeping child through a crowd and hold her while standing on a packed monorail for quite some time. If you have a stroller then they can sleep in it and you just push them on and off while they snooze away. It is great to have in the airport if you are flying as well. Also, depending on what resort you are staying in you often will have quite a walk to the monorail/bus stops and the food courts/restaurants.

Without a doubt bring one. Just my personal opinion, but people who rent one when kids are that young are just plain silly!! But then again, I like to bring everything to the parks with me, I cringe at the germs that must be on the stollers that never get cleaned and I know my DD is more comfortable in her stroller (we have a BIG Graco, so I don't even have a light weight one or anything).

I really appreciate the responses - I have passed them on to her Mom!
