Stroller question!

We're thinking of renting a double stroller for our two kids--ages 5 and 2--for our upcoming trip. DH wants to know whether we should go with a double or two singles. Thoughts?

Double stroller can be a lot to handle on the busses but so can a single stroller unless you get unbrella strollers which won't allow your 2yrs to lay down. Our family travels with 4 double strollers for all of our families childern
My sister Tina's childern 5&3, Kristie's 7,5,2,9month old, Mine 2yrold and an extra seat for Brother that's on the way.

We always brought 2 reclining umbrella strollers when we had 2 kids in strollers.

I would think the double stroller would be easier, just because you only have to keep up with one stroller and your stuff. However, we are taking 2 single strollers because I don't think my kids will sleep/nap sitting beside each other in a side by side stroller.

We brought 2 single strollers and I'm glad we did. It allowed us to separate easily when needed (ie. when DH was on a ride with older DS I took young DS around the park). There were a few times when a double would have come in handy (ie. one person can't push two strollers) but separating the two was much more frequent.

You can buy something that will connect two umbrella strollers together. Might be the best of both worlds....

We are taking my 4 year old and DD will be 21 months at the time. We figure DS will want to walk some of the time. We already are taking our Mac Volo so we just bought another "deluxe" umbrella stroller in case DS wants to ride. I think 2 singles would be easier if it is crowded. (We plan to keep one of them folded up until needed so we will only worry about the stroller that is "open".)
