Stroller Question

We are taking our 2.5 yr old DGS this yr and are thinking of doing a weekly stroller rental rather than dragging one on the boats/Monorail/buses etc., we see that there is a daily fee, and a multi-day fee (cheaper-a little anyway) if paid for at once but we aren't sure how this works. Do we make advance ressies or just go up to the stroller rental area on our first day, and pay for it, and are you then given a receipt, ticket or something to show at each park for the days that you've rented it?

What if we're taking Mom and Grandma who may take him when the DH and I aren't along, do we share the same ticket, or can we get two???? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think a much better and cheaper option would be to rent from an offsite vendor. Then you don't have to worry about it, and the stroller is a lot more comfortable. I have rented from orlandostrollerrentals (they sponser this page now) and they are fantastic. The stroller is waiting at your resort, or rental, and you just leave it w/ luggage services when you finish your trip. Easy Peasy!

I'm using Orlando Stroller Rental for the 2nd time this trip. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
They were awesome! This way we'll have the stroller from the parks to the resort -- for sleeping/tired/cranky kiddos who don't want to walk! :cool1: It gets dropped off at the resort and when we are ready to leave we drop it with Bell Services.
Like PP said "easy peasy!"

We've done both - rented @ WDW and brought our own stroller and personally, I would recommend bringing your own stroller - a smaller, umbrella type stroller if you have one.

The umbrella strollers are small enough that it's not that much of a hassle to get on/off the resort/park transportation with them. (And if the Monorail isn't too crowded you can usually keep the stroller open rather than having to collapse it).

The cost of renting strollers @ WDW is not cheap. And there's not much storage in the strollers (another 'downside' IMO). However, if you rent a stroller, just head to the stroller rental area when you arrive @ the park, tell them if you are a resort guest (you can get a multi-day discount), and then hold on to your receipt (you use this to get your strollers @ the other parks, etc). And, anyone in your party can use that same receipt in order to get a stroller at the parks.

Still, it's nice to have your own stroller so that when you arrive at your resort, if you have a short (or long) walk to your room you can put the tired little one in the stroller and save your back! ;)

Have a great trip!
