Stroller or no Stroller for 5 1/2 year old dd

We have a Maclaren Volo umbrella stroller for my DD7, though the last time we used it she was still 6. During the day, she didn't ride in it much and it was more for hauling stuff around in, but if we needed to get from one side of the park to the other quickly or during the late nights, it was invaluable. I have a great picture of her totally sound asleep in the stroller wearing her pirate costume at the Pirate & Princess Party. It was late and her older brothers were still going strong, but she was beat after a long day. It was nice to be able to stay and let the boys get all the enjoyment they could out of the party and still let DD sleep.

I'm a stroller fanatic at Disney World. We are pretty commando and putting them in strollers makes them last the whole day. It's great to store the extra gear and "treasures" we collect. My kids were 4 & 6 at the last trip and used a rental stroller. This trip they will be 6 & 8 and yes, we will rent a stroller for ds8 (he's very small-40lbs, his sis outweighs him at 42lbs). If you can really pace yourself to the children, it may be OK. I just know that tired kids = whining kids. The $ for the strollers is nothing compared to the peace it brings for our family.
