This is my first time travelling with my kids. I want to use my sit and stand stroller in the airport for my 22 month old and 4 year old (since he is the SLOWEST walker and always complains about his feet hurting!!!!)

Will I be able to take this stroller right up to the gate and give it to the flight attendents or is that just for umbrella strollers?

You can do that for any stroller. Works the same way.

I just wanted to give you some advice. If the stroller has a removeable seat pad, make sure you take it off before giving it to the gate agents. We usually forget and when we get the stroller back, the pad is soaked. (from condensation) It's happened to us a few times already and we still forget LOL

Also fold it for them, if they don't know how to fold your stroller they will "make it" fold. I think that is how most damage happens, people don't take the time to fold their own strollers.

Gate check your strollar so it is there for you when you get off the plane. Not only is it good for kids who are slowpokes (and we have one of those!) but it helps keep them safely confined while you are struggling with getting luggage and transportation when they are either bouncing off the walls with excitement or irritable from the travel. Definately fold your strollar and remove anything that can be removed. We always bring a bungee cord to hook it closed more securely. :rotfl:

I agree with this. Make sure you fold your own stroller. What you do is take it with you, all the way to the door of the plane. Fold it there, and they'll tell you where to put it and they'll take it down to cargo.

Also, before you actually get to the airport I would attach a luggage tag to the stroller with your info (home and at WDW) just in case and it saves time rather than doing it at the counter.

GL!
