Stroller on plane/DME

I am bringing my own stroller for a friend to Disney. I am flying JetBlue and taking DME. I don't want anything to happen to my stroller. Can I roll it to the plane and let them put it inside that way ( its NOT an umbreller stroller) or do I have to check it. Also if I have it with me on the plane, how does DME handle it? Do they put it under the bus? Thanks for the help. My friend can't afford the rentals and her anal MIL who bought her the stroller wont let her take it because she is afraid it will get stolen! I'm glad we are both going the same time!

They put it under the bus, you will not be able to take it on the bus.

And you gate-check it at the plane. SEE THE GATE AGENT when you get to the gate - you'll be given a tag to attach to the stroller. Roll it down the jetway to the plane, fold it and leave it where you're directed. When you get off the plane, either it'll be in the jetway waiting for you or you may need to wait there a few minutes. When you get to the bus, yes, the driver will store it under the bus. Please remember to tip for luggage handling.

That brings up a great point... how much would you recommed tipping the driver if you only have a stroller to put under the bus? A recommendation would be appreciated!

I tip a dollar per piece, so $1 should be fine. $2 if you feel guilty just tipping $1 but [most] strollers are easy to get in and out of the storage area - yours does fold, right?

Yes, it folds and I guess I would do $2...

mine folds too. Thanks for the info...never flew with a stroller before, and I will definately tip!

When we went in Sept, there was hardly anything under the bus, so they just rolled it on and put the brakes on, didnt even fold it.
