Please tell me there aren't as many strollers in US and IOA as there are at WDW. We are winding down our 8 days at WDW and will be heading to HRH on Saturday. I am so sick of the Hummer sized strollers I could scream! I've never in my life seen strollers that are as large as a smart car and even seat one more person than a smart car can. I know some kids need them, blah, blah, blah, but for those of us with teenagers it makes life difficult to navigate the parks quickly. I'm thinking Disney needs to make stroller free lanes or something to make it easier to get around two families pushing these tanks side by side while the kids that are supposed to be in said tanks are walking beside them while their parents yell at them to keep up:lmao:

Sorry, rant over. Seriously, though, are there less strollers at US/IOA?

There aren't as many strollers at Universal as there are at WDW. :goodvibes

Glad to hear this too! We will have a small umbrella stroller with us on some of our trip to Universal (my youngest is 2 and rides in it). I've been hit by many strollers at WDW (usually without a 'sorry').

There definitely arent as many, which is one of the things I love about Universal..I see this changing though if Universal starts to become much more family-with-young-kids oriented.Already I have seen more posts on another forum about stroller rentals, stroller use and are they really needed at Universal..My standard reply has become, "Not only are universal parks smaller then disney, but in some cases ,( like Harry Potter )using a stroller is actually a hindrance because of how tight it is."My last visit I watched a woman try to push one of those huge behemoth sized strollers into Honeydukes and was told to leave it outside the shop.It simply can not handle the strollers
If I have to start dodging cadillac- sized strollers all the time at Unviersal too, I will scream.

We have a city mini and I thinking this will be the last year we need one :) but when going to WWOHP area I park and leave it in one of the stroller areas while we are there. So much better to walk with the kids than trying to push something through small areas and into people.

That was the only thing my dad did not like about using a scooter, but at least we took him over to WWOHP in the evening when it was not as busy.

Good advice. We've never been before, so we will for sure leave it outside and walk thru with the kids. Maybe even skip the stroller that morning, as we're staying onsite and will take a swim/nap break of needed

I have to say while I value you opinion on this, I am on the other end. I have a jogging stroller that is larger and my son is 7 years old. We have been going for 4 years to both Disney and US. While he does not use it alot at all we do still take it. Why you may ask? For every step I take he takes 2 for one. Two by the time we are there we are working on are 8th day at parks (Disney) and he gets tired also. I would much rather dodge a stroller than a screaming or cranky child. Third I have way to many people walk between my child and me (mostly teens that are just not paying attention) and there are so many people there he can be lost in 2 seconds flat. I think I am entitled to have a stroller as much as anyone else who visits. I also am sure next week I will get a stare or eye roll is my 7 year old is seating in it, but I am at that point where I don't care. They don't have to go back to the hotel with him, or carry him on their back when he all the sudden decides he is tired or dodge everyone that constantly knocks him around (because they don't see him :confused3 and reufuses to even say I am sorry).

Sorry for my rant, I just had to show the other side.

I don't think that this was what the complaint was about, if you have a single jogging stroller that is larger then those aren't that bad. I said I have a mini and I use it to and from the parks, around the parks, but in tight areas like WWOHP then I park it and walk. But then again I have the little one who is cranky because she is in the stroller not out :)

The problem, and I agree, is that there are those that like to bring the supersize double side by side ones that take up the entire street and expect that they are entitled to do that with the kids in or out of them and woe to those that get in their way. How many times have you seen strollers used just for storage (which is one thing we will miss when we stop using one).

I understand how you feel but please remember there are those of us that are entitled to walk around too in the park without having to take different routes to get around those things.

I think the issue at large isn't strollers. It's people's lack of awareness. A family of teens walking 6 abreast....please! A group that just stops in the middle on the path while walking to check a map...don't complain when a stroller hits your ankle. Those that stand in front of a family sitting for a parade....rude? Clueless? Maybe both. I have learned that a loud "pardon me" works wonders. Some people are there for the first time and are amazed. They may not even realize they are being rude.....some unfortunately are just rude.
