We are going to Disney in Dec '05 and will have a 5 year old and a 3.5 year old. I was planning on renting the double strollers there but the price seems high! Plus, we are also going on a week cruise and it would be nice to have no whining. Anyone have a solution that would cost close to the $75.00 we would spend renting that would allow us to push the kids on the islands and would fold up small for storage in a tiny cruise room?

My currently 4 year old weighs 45lbs. She probably won't gain too much in the next year, just get taller. The soon to be 3 year old will probably weigh around 35 lbs.

Thanks!
Esther

Kolcraft makes an umbrella style side by side double that runs in the $65-$75 range at places like Walmart and Target. I was considering this one for my next trip because it's a bit cheaper than the rentals and would be available outside the parks (i.e. - on the cruise!) and it folds nicely for the plane. Keep us updated about your decision! --H

I have the double Kolcraft as my back-up/travel stroller. It serves its purpose well. The only thing is the weight limit is 35lbs per seat. Just to let you know.
