We are leaving in just over 2 weeks for our 8 day trip. I have 3 children 6,5, and 6 months. I was planning on taking the babies stroller for her and not taking one for the boys. My 6 year old will be fine. He is the energizer bunny and we will have no problems with him ( when we were there 2 years ago he very rarely stayed in the stroller). Now my 5 year old on the other hand is a different story. He will say that he doesn't want to get in a stroller but after about an hour of walking he gets tired. i am on the fence as to what stroller I should bring. I have an older McClaren sbs double that he would fit fine in. I am just not sure how the baby will do in it. I have never tried her in that stroller. OR I can just take her Chicco stroller and then if he gets too tired in MK or Epcot I could always go and get him a park stroller.

What do you think?

IMHO, I would just bring the babies stroller & get a park stroller for the 5 yr old as needed. At 5 he probably will not want to sit still long at WDW, but you never know.
I think if you brought the dbl & your baby was unhappy it would be harder to do something about it, without going out and buying another stroller while you are there.

I would do the same thing:thumbsup2

Hi,
We just returned from WDW two weeks ago and we rented a double stoller thru OrlandoStrollerRentals.com.This stroller was great. I have a 5year old and 2year old and it was perfect for them. They also have single strollers.
They drop it off and pick it up from your resort.
We only paid $85 for the week. 4-7days for a double is $85
Double strollers at the Parks are $31 a day and singles are $15 a day.

We've been there a number of times with a stroller.... My Daughter is 15 and has been to Disney somewhere around 25 times. My son just turned 6 last month and still liked to cruise in a stroller both times he went last year. I've never had to worry about 2 strollers at a time but we always had better luck with a cheap umbrella stroller (still get one with a canopy) if you plan on riding the buses much. Here is why: We do a lot of park hopping, they are light, they don't take up a lot of room on the crowded bus, they fold up quick when the bus comes, and I don't care if they last for more than one trip when it only cost me maybe $14 at walmart.

Have fun on your trip.

There are long walks from a gate or two to buses/parking etc and that is why we liked our own stroller. Often an older boy would ride up front (when they were 7) and it was great.

I miss the old stroller now they are teens but it is such a personal decision for a family.

A double Disney stroller isn't a bad idea either or renting one.

If your SBS has independently reclining seats and a decent canopy, and you can steer it easily with both the baby and the heavier child in it at the same time, then I say take that one. We took a stroller on our Dec 08 trip for our ds who will be six in April, and he used it a lot. WDW is a ton of walking. We are planning on just playing the stroller situation by ear at DL this spring, since DL/DCA does not cover such a large area like WDW. Hopefully Disney Visa will still be offering the free single rental @ DL/ca (unfortunately not avbl at WDW).

of umbrella stroller is it. In the past we have been able to use our old umbrella stroller, but my daughter who is five seems to big for it. I know from trips to the zoo or a museum that she's going to want to ride on some days. I agree with you on the convenience of an umbrella stroller with the Disney transportation system. I just didn't think there was one out there would hold her comfortably.

I think you might still want a stroller for your 5 yr old...you don't want him crying because he's tired of walking. Maybe an umbrella stroller for him? Or this is just a thought...do you have a baby carrier..that you could carry your 6 mo old in when you 5 yr old needs a ride? We went last year and I carried my then 3 mo old in a front baby carrier. Good-luck and have fun!!!:flower3:
