I know this comes up A LOT, but I need help. We will be taking our son to the World in March and he will be 10 Months old and again in Dec. 19 months old. I am trying to decide between the aria and a maclaren triumph or do you think the disney strollers would be okay? How are they with nap time etc... TIA for your help.

The Disney strollers are hard plastic with no safety straps. You should consider bringing a stroller for both trips. I always liked the Maclaren. On the other hand Disney now sells Graco umbrella strollers at the parks. This could be an alternative for you...

MACLAREN!! I have the twin aria and hate it! I bought 2 single maclaren volvos (my girls are bigger) for my twin girls and wished i had a maclaren from the begining. IMO, the disney stroller is too hard for that small of a child. They could not sleep in it. You will also love it for traveling and it comes with a rain cover. It is so easy to move too.
Good luck

We have the Maclaren Triumph and it worked great for my DS in October when he was 19 months old. I would NOT use anything else for a Disney trip.

I would not use the park strollers at that age because they are hard and the kids can't get real comfortable in them. Plus, we needed to keep our son strapped in because sometimes he would try to climb out if he saw a character or something.

I would not rent a Disney stroller for your child since he will be 19months. I would want to have something to recline and the one's Disney rents do not. I have a Peg Perego and I dislike it. I actually wound up buying a Maclaren Triumph. HTH Good luck.

I agree with the previous posters, the Disney strollers are not very nice for an infant or very young toddler. We purchased the Triumph before our son's first trip at 11 months and ended up buying another Maclaren when we had our second child. It was well worth the investment.

We took our daughter at 10 months then again at 16 months and we are leaving friday for another trip and she will be 18 months and the first trip we used a Chicco C5 which was nice and I bought it because it was light, reclined and the handles are nicwe and high, im 5"10 and alot of strollers are just to low for me to push all day long, but this one is great, plus it comes with a rain cover which can really be nice depending on the time of year you go plus it has a pocket on the back for either the rain cover or you can stash a few diapers and wipes in it
as they get older and you dont have to carry as much into the park.

Several mac's are on clearance now at BRus, run run run! This will be the best money you ever spent for a stroller, promise.

Enjoy your trip! oh, yeah, you can see pics of park strollers over on allears.net they are mostly hard plastic or jogging. I just want my own not one another child was in the day before and I want it for my whole vacation not just inside parks.

my 2 cents.

I've been looking too, but when I look up this Maclaren Triumph there is no front bar, to put drinks. No? Is it an add on? I've seen add ons at our babies r us, but then it's on the side. My child will be 21 months, and feel he still needs the front access to put snacks and cup.

Also wanted to ask, while on bru.com there is a price difference for the same stroller. Some are 174.99 while there is same one, different color at 149.99. Is it because the colors? Both are saying New, so not last years models.

I have the same issue! I brought a full size stroller for my 12 month old last November and it was great but horrible to get onto the trams and Monorail. The stroller when folded is heavy and awkward. We drive our rental car everywhere because I had a worse experience carrying the stroller onto the buses plus they take up so much room on the bus.

Is it worth the aggravation from the tram and monorail to buy a Maclaren Stroller? I love how it folds up and is easier to carry than my current stroller.

How do you carry all of your other things? I always bring a big bag to carry everything. How about purchases, drinks, etc.

Any advice would help!

We brought DS at 13 months and he did REALLY well in the Maclaren Volo. We were a bit worried about the lack of tray too but we got those snack trap cups from BRU and it went really well! We are bringing it back with us again, he'll be 3 years this trip and it's aged with him really well.

PS - We always put purchases and extras in the basket on the bottom and hook our bag around the top handles. If you do that though, make sure that the child is in it. Since they are so lightweight, they tip very easily if there is a bag on the handles but no child!

I absolutely LOVE my McClaren Triumph! I bought it the week after we returned from Disney in October. I wish I would have bought it before hand to take with us. My DD1 rides in it so very well. It pushes easy, the handles are comfortable and it is so lightweight. We took a baby trend in October and from the first day (and everyday following when we had to use the stroller, which was a lot!) said he was burning the baby trend when we go home and I could go purchase any stroller I wanted, he didn't care how much it cost. We are planning a return trip in Dec. 08 and I am going to go back and purchase the Volo for my DS4 (well, as of the 16) to ride in while we are there. He doesn't ride in a stroller here at home, but I wont take him to disney without one and I wont use anything but a McClaren now! I can't sing their praises loud enough!!

We decided to buy a triumph I got a really good deal on Ebay. It should be here friday. Thanks for all of you help. Do they sell a tray to add onto the triumph?

I just can't understand why Maclaren can't make a snack bar. How hard is that?! lol I would buy today if they supplied some type snack/cup holder for my one year old. He will need this while in the Parks and don't want to trust this add on's to work. Besides be too hard for him to reach. Ya know?!
I'm so frustated on this, becasue I'm hunting for awhile now and nothing meets my needs. I want a good basket and a small fold up with cup holders. It seems like the new aria for 2008 is coming close. The closing feature may not be as easy or small, but it has my Must need features met. I'm just praying they imporved on the wheels, since that's what I read online can be a problem.

Have you looked at the Peg Pliko P3? We have one and love it. It has been an awesome stroller for us. Ours did not come with a drink holder/snack cup but I believe the new models do or you can add them on. It folds up super easy, light weight, you can actually hang stuff on the back without the stroller flipping backwards. The basket is not all that great, but honestly, I don't think you are going to find any really big baskets on unbrella style strollers.

I would recommend a Mac, but now I have had bad luck with mine. Mine is in need of repair and they refuse to send the parts to me. I have to ship it to an authorized dealer. All done it would cost me $100 ( most of which is shipping) to fix my stroller. I only paid $189 for it so the thought of paying $100 to fix it it make me crazy!!!
