Stroller for tall 4 y/o?

My 4 y/o is kinda tall and the umbrella stroller we have is a Jeep one and his feet drag the ground when he relaxes them. It has that strap, but he has to sort of bend his legs back to use it.

I want him to be able to relax and maybe even catch a snooze or two while in the stroller at WDW, but this stroller just won't allow that.

We have another one that would work but it isn't an umbrella stroller. It folds flat down but not side to side like the umbrella.

Any suggestions?

You could rent one. Or are you looking for suggestions for something to buy? How much does he weigh?

Here's the Stroller FAQ from Allearsnet if you haven't seen it already. This site has pictures of the rental strollers as well as how much it costs, etc.

hth.

We brought a regular stroller until my youngest was 7. It wasn't too difficult to manuver on the busses

Really? I was thinking that anything but an umbrella might be frowned upon by bus drivers or other passengers. The larger stroller would work sooo much better and has soooo much more storage!

The ones to rent just don't look all that comfy and I want to be able to have it once we get off the bus at the resort, as well.

Thanks!

When my now 13 year old DS was 7 we rented a stroller at the park...mainly for his younger sister ... but we rented it double size and it was great...they give you a reciept so if you have a hopper you just go to your next park and pick one up there...it worked out great.

I know it can be a pain but if your son is most comfortable in the bigger stroller I would go for it. You don't need to fold it up for the monorails just the buses. We had a graco double with us last time and believe it or not, we got used to it. Was is easy, of course not, but so nice for naps and hauling everybodies stuff.

One of mine will be close to 5 when we go back and I already know with his temperment he will still need a ride sometimes, none of our umbrellas are that comfortable for him now so I'm not sure what we will do as still have a little one still riding pretty much full time.

When we went, DD was very tall for 4. We rented a stroller for her everyday and she never once complained about them being uncomfortable. The strollers were even big enough to put the backpack at her feet. She napped everyday in the strollers.

We have twins and we've taken a stroller from home since our twins were 7 months old. While they were babies, we took a Graco double. After they turned around 2-1/2, we started taking our Dreamer Jogger. We don't have any problems. We normally stay at a monorail resort (and just roll the stroller right on the monorail) or else at an Epcot resort (walk/boat/monorail to most parks). If we go to AK or other park where we need to take a bus, then we just plan accordingly and make sure all our gear we pack on our stroller is safely in the bag and my husband folds up the stroller and on the bus we go. No biggie. LOL, easy for me to say as my DH is the one hauling the jogger on the buses. He claims it's no big deal, but he also said he wouldn't want to stay at a bus-only resort.
