We are going to WDW in May - our DD4 is a trooper but I am guessing there will be times we will need some down time with a stroller ride... with all the walking we will be doing... all we have now is a cheepie umberlla stroller that she is really to big for in my opinion.. shes about 44inches tall 48pounds - any suggestions for a comfy but not overly expensive... I am sure we will use it for other events throughout the summer...

Also we have never traveled with a stroller how are the air ports about them do we check it???? HELP...

We rented the double at the World, all 3 boys fit in it when needed. They were 7, 5 and 3. If you bring your own, for flying they can gate check it, so it is ready for you as soon as you get off the plane or luggage check it.

You can gate check a stroller at the airport so you have it with you up until you board the plane and it will be brought out for you on arrival. If you have a layover make sure they mark both airport codes on the gate check tag. Before you leave it for them, fold it up and lock it closed. You may want to take the additional measure of putting in a stroller bag to keep it from gettng dirty, but we have never bothered.

We always bring a stroller because we like having one in the airport and outside the park gates as well since we stay at the Boardwalk and like to walk to the W/S entrance of Epcot and to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM). Also we travel to WDW enough that renting a stroller would be cost prohibitive. A multi-day single rental is either $10 a day I think. Another option for renting is thru www.abbf.com. They have jogging strollers that your dd would probably fit in. I checked it out once, it seemed pretty reasonable. They deliver the stroller to your resort.

I'm sure you'll see a lot of reccomendations for MacClaren strollers here. They have a 55 lb weight limit and handle very well w/bigger kids in them. There's one that has a 65lb limit (can't remember which model). The Volo is probably going to be the least expensive one and you may find one at Target or BRU to try out if you want.

We bought a Dreamer Design jogging stroller w/swivel front wheel and took it to WDW on our last trip. A beast to travel with but handles beautifully and dh who is tall and has long legs would always kick the wheels on Kidco umbrella (similar to a Maclaren). It has a 75lb weight limit too so it could handle ds and anything we put in basket with ease. :)

hth!
