Part 2 of my perfect stroller situation.

We have a Mac Techno XT and will be travelling w/ DS4 and DS1 this fall.

We've finally (I think :confused3 ) decided to get another Mac for DS4 but was looking at the Volo for him.

Anyone used the connecter on 2 different strollers? Does it matter? Are the good? Different brands?

ANy opinions appreciated!!!

I will further elaborate on stroller connectors from your other post :)

On a previous trip, when I went with their dad to WDW, we used 2 singles strollers, different brands and used the stroller connectors. I don't remember where I ordered them from, but I did google them and shopped for the best price. The instructions say they should be the same strollers but I wasn't going to go out and buy a second stroller. I thought they worked wonderfully. We were able to walk together or split up, and one person could easily push both strollers. The only downfall to those was it made the strollers wider than a SBS so we had to unconnect to get through the gates and it was a little tight in store. It was easier on the monorail with the singles because we didn't need to wait for the handicap cars to fit. Also, having the different strollers made backing up a bit of a challenge because the middle front rotating wheels would get stuck. To remedy that, we just lifted the front of the strollers off the ground for the backup then went on out way. I would use them again if I needed to.

Thanks. I was wondering about turning w/ the connectors. What about turning side to side? I guess there is enough of a gap between the strollers so it's ok? The front middle wheels don't get hung up?

I didn't have a problem with turning side to side. Only backwards because each stroller decided to turn their wheels differently, but how often do you really go backwards anyway. The only other thing I can tell you is the strollers connect in 3 spots (so there are 3 connectors). They are very easy to work.

When considering buying a new double, or using the connector with 2 singles, I went to Babies R Us and gave it a try firsthand. I used 2 chiccos they had (strollers I would be using) and used one of the Prince Lionheart connectors....have to say, I had a really hard time stearing them. Wheels kept getting caught/crossed/stuck. I had to actually tip the strollers onto the back wheels when trying to turn (more of a pivot than turn). Needless to say, we went with the double.

Maybe you should go to BRUs and give it a try??

Thanks for the info.

We did go and camp out for 45min at Babies R Us w/ the kids trying all versions.

I have to say I did not like pushing the double. I kept kicking the center wheel. I pushed it up and down the aisles for a long distance and just kept hitiing it. I guess my legs are too long or something :confused3 or I have a more narrow step...my model walking :rotfl2:

So I think we're going w/ the 2 singles. I don';t think I'm going to bother w/ the connectors. The situations would be rare if at all that one of us would have both strollers and I actually tested pushing both singles myself w/ the kids in them. I was able to do it and turn corners w/ both kids in seperate strollers. It was not fast but if I had to press on while DH grabbed a Fastpass or something I think I could manage.
