Stroller confusion - help!

I don't know what to do for our trip. It will be our first trip with DD (4) and DS (2). A double will work best for our family. The kids are so close there is little to no reason we would be splitting up. I mean I may run to the ladies room with DD but no need for two single strollers.

So we have a double jogger at home that we use for everything (zoo, amusement parks, ect) and we all love. This is it:

However it does not fold up very compact. We are flying (need to get it thru security) and we will be taking busses.

So I look at Orlando Stroller Rental. And they offer the City Mini Double. Which really doesn't look much different then our double jogger. So why should I pay to rent when I have 'the same thing' at home.

Maybe I should buy a lightweight double umbrella? But none of then seem to have great reviews.

I am at a loss. Please help.:worship:

I know it seems like it looks the same but using the static wheel in the WDW crowds and your current stroller is quite a bit bigger than the City Mini.

We have a Tike Tech double and while it has a front wheel that turns it is a beast to get thru the airport. We do it, but I'll admit it's a total pain. They can't get it on the belt so they have to hand wand it and being without it for even a little bit with our 2 & 4 year olds is brutal, especially since we need it to haul our junk. So we stand there trying to corral kids adn keep all our gear from spilling everywhere and it's difficult to get thru narrow walk ways. You'd be happier with something a bit more compact, we would be!

Howdy, neighbor! We're in NJ, too. :wave2:

We have a beast of a double as well (Tike Tech Trax 360) which we call our "Blue Beast" and only use it for outdoor zoo trips, boardwalk jogs, park, etc.

Every year we rent the Baby Jogger City Mini double and the dang thing makes me want to take it home as it's just so convenient. :rolleyes1 It may look much the same on paper as your double jogger but it really is so easy to maneuver in tight quarters, esp. inside all the Epcot stores and such. That was really what made it worth the rental cost - the fact that it easily goes into and out of the stores/shops/exhibits without worrying about tipping over displays or random people.

No double is truly compact when folded but the BJ is definitely smaller than most and quite manageable. I personally think it's worth the rental fee to get the streamlined double and leave the beast at home.

Plus, the sun canopies are huge - the kids can sink back into their little caves when they get overstimulated or need to get out of the sun.
