Stroller Checking at Gate with "BAG"?

We plan on checking our sit and stand stroller at the gate as we get on the plane however I bought one of those stroller storage bags to put in in so it won't get dirty/damaged on the plane - will the staff know it's a stroller if I put it in the protective bag??

If you plan on using it up until you gate check it, you should just be able to show them as you bag it up at the gate. They will most likely give you an ID tag or sticker for it. It shouldn't be a problem.

I don't have a bag for ours, did yours come with the stroller?

I'm sure they see that often. Also, they give you a tag for the stroller, so maybe you could tape it to the bag instead of attatching it to the handle? That way, they would know for sure!

We used to bring a combi single stroller that had a bag. Part of it was see-through so it was 'fairly' obvious that it was a stroller, but not off the bat. We seemed to be the last ones to get our stroller most of the time, and maybe once or twice we had to ask the guy who was bring up the other strollers for it. They were able to find it well enough but in my experience, it was nice to have the bag, but a tiny hassle.

I am guessing the bag has some kind of handle on it so you can carry the stroller, so just put the door check tag on the handle of the bag. When you get to the end of the jetway (or just before you board) put your stroller in the bag and set it with all the other gate checked items, and it will be put in the hold at the last minute. I used to work at Northwest and we had a specific tag for strollers and wheelchairs that needed to be brought back up to the plane when it landed at it's destination. All the handlers will be looking for is that tag and if they see it they will know it needs to come off right away and be taken up to the jetway to be claimed, they'll just assume it's one of the 2. I wouldn't tape it to the bag, chances are to great that it will come off. Oh and make sure the bag has your contact info just in case it ends up in baggage claim, especially if you are using the ME, one never knows what will happen with any airline these days .
