This will be my first trip with my kid and I would like to know is it easier to check the stroller at the gate in Seattle or to check it as luggage? He does not need it to get to the gate but if we are in disneyland all day it will be nice to have a built in chair for him and a place to put our snacks. Thanks!

At the gate ~ yes it has to go through security but it's nice to have it until you board the plane and it's great that it's waiting there for you when you step off + it's could get damaged or lost if you checked it....

Thanks DisneyMomma81.

We still have not setup transportation and I was just going to catch a cab when we got there but I was reading somewhere that you have a guy you like to use and he is reasonable like $50 each way or something???

We always gate check our stroller -- however, it is a bit of a pain going through security. They have a certain line for families and it has a bigger xray scan opening so we can get our big graco to fit. We are so used to doing it that it doesn't even phase us anymore. One tip if you have a large stroller is to put it on the belt with the wheels up. The stroller also can help you get off the plane and to baggage claim quickly and easily if you have a little one who moves slow or might wander off.

THANKS for your advice! :cool1:

Looks like you guys will be there about the same time we will. We will gate check the stroller (big "jeep" brand stroller). Trip is 12/4-12/11 and am excited to not have to fly into LAX this time and flying SEA to LGB on jetblue! Free DirecTV (hope they will have the apple cup!!!) Can't believe we leave tomorrow!

Hope you have safe & easy travels! Enjoy your trip!

Looks like our dates will overlap some. Maybe we will see each other in the parks. We will fly Alaska into SNA and rent a car there. I haven't ever flown JetBlue, I never think of them because they were east coast only for so long. We got really great deals with Alaska for $121 RT each then we have an extra $40 for our 2 bags. I wish they would allow certain Alaska Air visa holders to get a free bag check. I think Delta or someone is starting that.

So are you a coug or husky? I'm a transplanted Jayhawk so I just smile when this weekend roles around and feel thankful that NCAA baskeball is starting so it can take the sites off KU's football team. :)

Since you are flying jetblue make sure you bring headphones - they have a universal jack, so you don't have to buy the airline ones! :thumbsup2

We :lovestruc jetblue and LGB.

Live in Wenatchee so surrounded by coug's but I am a husky fan. Hope you guys have a great trip too! This will be my first flight on Jetblue and have flown both alaska air and virgin america. Alaska's planes are just so old I really like the having a TV on every seat and the newer planes.

If you see a black jeep stroller with a crazy blond hair kid driving it that will be us! :scared1:

Thanks for the advice on the headphones. Brought my laptop (sitting at gate right now waiting to board) and headphones so all set!
