I have a stroller and a backpack carrier for DS. I'm wondering if I can take both on my trip to Disney? How much stuff will they let me take on the plane (it will be me, DH, and DS who will be 15 months old and will be paying for a seat on the plane)? Would it be worthwhile to mail the backpack carrier down to my resort ahead of time? Or should I just stick to the stroller? I just think the backpack keeps him more contained and lets him see more because it is up high and he doesn't have to stare at everyone's knees all the time! Help!

PS I will also be taking a sling for sure, he's a heavy little dude!

We are taking both the stroller and a hip carrier for our little one. That way if she gets tierd of sitting in the stroller it will be something a bit different for her. I think you would be fine with the sling and the stroller.

Take the stroller and the sling. Skip the backpack.

Use the sling for places you cant take the stroller or when he wants out of the stroller. The backpack is too much of a hassle: to tote around, you cant wear it on rides, so you have to take him out and then deal with it on the ride, or not use it in line at all, really shouldnt use it in shows.

I would leave the backpack at home especially if you have the sling. We loved our backpack but honestly I don't think its such a good idea for wdw. You have lots of in and out or in the case of a backpack off and on and in the crowds it may be hard to manage.

We used a stroller most of the time and then dh or I used a sling in lines. You could even wear your toddler on most of the rides if you wish.

Have fun

Thanks for your help! I thought the backpack might be overkill -- thanks for affirming that for me! I'm glad to hear I can wear my DS on the rides. I think that could work out well!

I think the backpack would definately be too much. We have one and I've only used it a few times because it is so heavy. With the weight of it and the child you would be worn out before the day is half over. Have a great time!!!
